Per club policy terms of the deal were not disclosed. Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement set forth by the National Basketball Association, the Toronto Raptors will have 15 days to match the offer. Selected by Toronto in the first round (21st pick overall) of the 2000 NBA Draft, Peterson played in 82 games (29 starts) for the Raptors during the 2003-04 season and averaged 8.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 26.2 minutes per game. The 6-7 forward has played in 307 career games (214 starts) over four seasons with the Raptors and has averaged 11.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 29.0 minutes per game. Peterson finished his collegiate career at Michigan State as their ninth all-time leading scorer in school history with 1,588 points and fifth in three-pointers made (146) and attempted (387). He led Michigan State to the 2000 NCAA Championship.
