Verdi dominated the world of Italian opera from his
first considerable success in 1842 with Nabucco until
his final Shakespearean operas Otello, staged at
La Scala, Milan, in 1887, and Falstaff,
mounted at the same opera-house in 1893.
他意思是說 最後的"Shakespearean operas" 包括Otello,Falstaff兩齣
: 不過資料說他寫過28部歌劇....
: 但書上寫26部.... @_@
作曲數量的問題 依不同的考證結果而異吧
