12:40 p.m. Pedro says his right arm is feeling much better now than it did
when he struggled to stay healthy and pitched poorly in recent seasons with
the New York Mets.

"It hasn't been easy for me. The last few years have been horrible, and I'm
not saying horrible because of the results, but because I hadn't been feeling
the way that I wanted to feel," Martinez said. "To be quite honest, I don't
expect to be the same Pedro I was when I was 26 + but I still feel like I can
bring something to the table."

        佩卓說  前幾年手不舒服  結果糟糕透了

        並不是因為成績難看所以覺得糟

        而是投不出自己想要的東西  所以覺得傷當糟糕

        認清事實的他  不會還幻想投出26歲的內容

        不過佩卓認為  他的彈匣中應該還有一兩把子彈...

12:41 p.m. Pedro says he didn't sign until July 15 because he waited to
draw interest from a National League contender. "I was very picky. I already
have a championship in the American League (2004 Red Sox), I won Cy Youngs
in the National League (1997) and American League (1999, 2000). I want a
championship in the National League. I was hoping that the Mets would make
the move (to re-sign me), but they didn't and I decided to wait. I actually
jumped to first place without throwing a ball."

12:45 p.m. Pedro mentions his strong desire to live up to his reputation with
the Phillies. "I bring with me a legacy. I bring with me my last name. I bring
my face. I bring everything I have, my integrity, to this team. I feel like
I can play + and I'll be the first one really convinced if I can do it or not.
If I don't do it, I'm going to go on and take myself out of baseball."

12:52 p.m. Pedro addresses concerns that he's now a five-to-six inning pitcher.
"Now that I'm totally healthy and my dad is not dying on a bed like he was
last year, I should be able to focus a little bit more and have more fun.
I'm healthier and probably in better shape. I'm not going to say anything.
I'm just here to prove it. Talking don't win games. I might surprise you.
I might not. But it's going to be fun to find out."

        人們覺得  如今的佩卓  頂多只能撐五六局

        但他說現在父親的健康狀況好多喏  所以他比較能在場上專注

12:55 p.m. ... If I didn't sign for someone by May that it would take until
July to come to an agreement with a team. So I decided to wait and not get on
the mound and waste bullets. Since the Classic, I got on the mound three times.
The curveball is going to be a little flat, the changeup is going to be hanging
a little bit. But those are things that you correct as time goes on."

12:56 p.m. Pedro admits its in the back of his mind that he'll be a Phillie
beyond 2009. "Yeah ...but not very long after that. I don't want to play until
I'm 40. I admire Jamie Moyer, Tom Glavine and Randy Johnson for playing until
they're 40-something. But they're lefties."

        佩卓表示  在腦海深處 or 淺意識裡  他明年後還願意繼續當費城人

       "但不會太久  頂多到４０歲吧..."

12:57 p.m. Pedro denies having any animosity toward the Mets and says he's not
joining their biggest rival for revenge. "I would love to tell you that, but
I am an honest man and I am telling you the truth. You guys one time almost
killed me because I said the Yankees are my daddy, but I was just keeping it
honest. And the same thing is .. I have love for the people in the Mets球團."

        俺就是太誠實喏  太沒遮攔  所以差點被你們這些記者給害死

        就因為幾年前被打爆  然後我說 "洋基太強了沒辦法  可以當我爹..."

        我還是深愛著大都會的球迷球團與隊友們...

"As far as embracing the Phillies fans, I think I'm going to have a lot of
love for them because they seem to be really wild and I'm a little bit out
there, too. I can't do anything for the hate that you feel for the Mets or
the Mets fans. I have love enough to hug all the Phillies fans and the Mets
fans."
        我想俺會很快的愛上費迷  因為他們夠狂野  跟偶很對味!

        我不可能因為你們恨大蘋果  我就跟著討厭大蘋果的球迷

        俺有滿滿的愛  可以同時擁抱所有大蘋果與費城的球迷們  ^.<

1:04 p.m. Pedro explains his shoulder injury as nothing more than soreness
from getting dye shot into his shoulder. "Let me explain something. "They
stick a big needle in there. Before that, they stick a small one in ...
and you feel it. I'm not ready yet to pitch. Now that I'm healthy + I want to
take my time to get ready and compete at the level that this team is competing.
I don't want to look like I'm Triple-A when they're in first place!"

        佩卓間接承認  那個啥肩膀受傷  只是個幌子  ˋ(′～‵")ˊ

        重點是  我要在兩週的時間  讓自己回到大檸檬的強度
