        Phillies put Savery's plans on hold

Joe Savery had plans for Saturday morning.

        武郎見過棄投從打後  又棄打回"投"的瓣球員嗎？

        莫怪乎是個奇人  那就是我們的聖主  Joe世主 Savery

He was going to load up his truck and cruise down Interstate 81 toward
his home in Houston, a trip that would offer him plenty of time to ponder
an unusual season in the minor leagues, a season that ended when the AAA
Lehigh Valley IronPigs were eliminated by Columbus in the International
League championship series.
"I was planning on heading home and playing with Team USA in the Pan Am Games
," Savery said. "That's what I was planning on doing."

The 25-year-old Savery, a lefthanded reliever, was in the Phillies clubhouse
as he spoke.
"I still can't believe I'm sitting here right now," he said. "I have no idea
what's going on."

Savery certainly didn't expect to hear LehighValley manager Ryne Sandberg tell
him late Friday night he was among the five players the Phillies called up.
Savery was pretty much convinced it wouldn't happen. Not this season. Probably
never. Earlier in the summer, he registered at Rice University to take the 4
classes he needed to get his bachelor's degree. He withdrew his registration
to stick out another season in the minors.

        學習怎麼種植金通米  這四門課過關後  他就能大學畢業

        後來  不甘心  決定擱置學業  再拼最後一年!

"I was trying to line up internships, jobs, whatever I could find," he said.
"When I got into this I never saw myself hanging on as a minor-leaguer.
I certainly thought I was close to the end."

        偶本來都開始找工作喏  實習的也好

        俺想不要逞強  是該認命  棒球生涯就要結束喏

Savery's minor-league career has been unusual, to say the least. The Phillies
drafted him in the first round (No. 19 overall) in 2007 as a starting pitcher.
Pitching didn't go as well as he'd hoped, so he started this season as a first
baseman at single-A Clearwater. He was the Phillies' minor-league player of the
month in April after hitting .450 in 21 games for the Threshers. Then, in June,
he returned to pitching, this time as a reliever. He went 4-0 with a 1.80 ERA
and had 26 strikeouts in 25 innings for the IronPigs as a middle reliever. He
held lefthanded hitters to a .192 average.

        也不知怎的  愈投愈好  怎麼投怎麼準

        在ＡＡＡ厲害谷  留下２５局２６次三振  僅６次保送

                        四勝零敗  ERA 1.80  沒被全壘打過的鬼神紀錄

It may be a long shot, but if Savery impresses he could end up on the 25-man
postseason roster, especially if Antonio Bastardo, the Phillies' lone lefty
in the bullpen, continues to struggle.

        有沒有可能  救世主擠入季後賽的２５人名單呢？

        尤其是  巴斯踏斗  被豬頭沒妞操爆後  現在整個人像是被羅咩羅上身...

"I've seen it happen," manager Charlie Manuel said. You never know. We'll
definitely take a look at him. We've got good reports on him. They say he's
been throwing strikes and his velocity is up."

        沒妞薩克斯表示  很難說哩

        偶們會好好看看他的投球內容 (這代表Joe世主的初登板不遠矣)

        桑柏格那邊送來的報告是

        他變得很能投好球  而且球速也傷當不賴!

             (以他的砲瓦  代打轟出牆去  也不算新鮮)

              何樂而不為膩？

        希望季後有聖主的鎮壓

推 GY6:倒也不完全算靈光乍現，其實他去年先發投很爛，但後援好像還有
→ GY6:點樣子，可是關鍵的球速卻慘到不行，而且也一直在跟傷痛搏鬥，
→ GY6:所以球團乾脆要他先別投了(先休息一陣子吧)，另外，既然打擊不
→ GY6:錯，就來試試打擊吧(所以就轉打者去)，一開始打的很好，就讓他
→ GY6:繼續霸凌A+，結果有次(算是意外吧)延長賽，打到沒投手可上了，
→ GY6:只好讓野手上，那場Ruf跟Savery各解決兩局，但這場過後，還是
→ GY6:繼續當他的打者，但球團似乎發現他的球速有回來的Fu，後來就叫
→ GY6:他多上幾次投手丘，結果發現耐斯!他球速竟然回到90MPH，而且狀
推 GY6:況很好(呃，小樣本啦)，後來2A缺人缺的兇，就把他抓上去玩，還
→ GY6:是維持這種雙刀流模式，但是也發現他的打擊大概到了個瓶頸，當
→ GY6:個板凳還勉強夠看，但是沒選球、長打普普、被變化球玩爽爽的問
→ GY6:題完全被抓包，所以就在2A，逐步調整成:左殺+代打的合體，結果
→ GY6:狀況真的不賴，此時又遇到3A缺人，又把他抓上去玩，這次幾乎是
→ GY6:正式宣佈讓他回到投手丘，雖然在3A偶爾還是會代打，但頻率已經
→ GY6:很低，而他也從一人左逐漸進步到可以投滿一局，在小聯盟季後賽
→ GY6:也表現的不錯，最後就是被拉上大聯盟了...
