        Hunter happy to join Phils in Pence-sylvania

PHILADELPHIA -- Hunter Pence hopped on a late-morning flight Saturday in
Milwaukee, flew to Detroit, changed planes and landed in Philadelphia in
enough time to catch the beginning of Phillies batting practice a little
more than five hours later at Citizens Bank Park.

        差點就跟不上打擊練習  偶還以為昨晚就紅眼班機來喏說 ~.~

He had everything he needed.
Well, almost everything.

"I'm a little uncomfortable," said Pence, who joined the Phillies following
Friday night's trade with the Houston Astros. "I don't have my spikes."

        ㄘㄟˊ  釘鞋怎麼會沒跟上飛機咧  這不詭異嘛你啦

Pence otherwise seemed comfortable in his new surroundings. As he emerged
from the Phillies clubhouse and made his way onto the field, he warmly
greeted his new teammates. They seemed to be as excited to see him as he
was to join a team with a legitimate chance to win the World Series. The
Phillies started the night with the best record in baseball at 66-39. The
Astros started the night with the worst record in baseball at 35-71.

        驚喜之情  就像是盤斯意外被冠軍隊選秀選上那麼一般

        太色人與費城的戰績  來回相差了六十幾場 (GB是三十多)

"I'm telling everyone I just jumped 62 games in one day," he said with a
smile. "I think that might be epic proportions. I don't think anyone can
beat that. It's pretty cool. ... A lot of players never get this opportunity.
I've never been a part of it yet. I would sacrifice a lot for this. I'm
thrilled to be in here and ready to go."

The last 24 hours have been a whirlwind for Pence. He had spent his entire
career with the Houston Astros until he was pulled from Friday's game at
Miller Park. He got emotional as he hugged his teammates in the dugout. Now,
he is in Philadelphia, wearing red socks and red pinstripes.

        突然被迫跟大家 say farewell

        還記得  追追揪成一團的那張臉...

"The Astros did a lot for me," he said. "All of my teammates, we've all been
through a lot. That kind of adversity gives you a different type of asset you
can never get unless you go through it. I love those guys. I want the best
for them. I think they're all happy that I have this opportunity to play here.

        偶跟太空人的朋友們  一起度過了那麼多的逆境

        那是要苦其心志  才能獲得的無形資產

"Now I'm in a place where they really want me and we have a chance to do
something special, to create some historic moments for Philadelphia and for
the game of baseball. It's an unbelievable opportunity, and I couldn't be
more grateful."

        有此殊勝的契機

The Phillies sent four prospects to Houston to get Pence to play right field
and hit fifth behind Ryan Howard: pitcher Jarred Cosart, 1B Jonathan Singleton,
pitcher Josh Zeid and a player to be named later. MLB.com considers Cosart and
Singleton the 37th and 38th best prospects in baseball, respectively.

But Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. felt comfortable making the deal
because the Phillies needed more production in right field -- offensively and
defensively -- and because Pence cannot become a free agent until after the
2013 season.

"We gave them what we feel are four very, very good players," Amaro said. "We
gave up a significant package for this guy. Fortunately we had some multiples
of some of this talent. It hurt, but we thought it was the right thing to do."

It seems unlikely the Phillies will make another trade before Sunday's 4 p.m.
ET non-waiver Trade Deadline, but that seemed to be OK with Phillies fans. They
got their man. Pence received a standing ovation when his name was introduced
before the game. He got another standing ovation when he took the field in the
top of the first inning. He saluted the fans, raising his glove in the air. He
even tried to high-five the Phanatic as he rolled past in his four-wheeler.

        還剩一天  應該是不會再有其他交易

        就算僅此  費迷已經開心得蹦蹦跳  欣喜之情洋溢言表

The Phanatic left him hanging.

        一局上  杭特兄走上了右外野

        右外野的球迷全部綺麗鼓掌  歡聲雷動

        他也不像其他球員 － 也許只是輕輕碰一下帽緣

        Pence兄舉起帽子  笑開懷的對看台觀眾

        揮動他的帽子  一揮 ~ 二揮 ~ 三四揮

        好似在說 ～ 熱情的費迷們  哇李ㄟ佳啦!

        其實  大綠綠並不算是把他晾在那裏  自己就開走

        大綠綠還是有跟他招手啦  有影片有真相

"When you come to Philadelphia and you play a game at this stadium as an
opposing team, you see the passion," he said. "It's always exciting. You come
here and you want to play in those intense environments. Now those guys have
my back. And they're also going to be on my throat if I'm not playing the right
way, which is how it should be. You want to be in a town where it's exciting
and people are paying attention."

        以前到市銀公園比賽時

        就感受過這城市球迷的激情  這會讓你人來瘋

        如今  他們都成為我的依靠  為我搖旗吶喊

        當然  要是偶犯了啥錯誤  費迷一定也會不吝鞭笞  這很正常

        誰都想要在醬激昂的氣氛下打球

        誰都希望球迷不僅僅是來這裡休閒度假 吃吃喝喝逛逛

        誰都希望  他們能像費迷一樣的專注於比賽內容

Now, he just need his spikes.

"I have like 30 different assortments of colors and sizes, none of which are
Reebok," he joked. "I get paid to wear those spikes and now I'm just hoping
there's not some big picture that shows up everywhere. I know that's going to
be the case."

        要糟  銳跑(還是銳步?)付錢讓我代言

        我現在卻沒有他們的釘鞋可以穿

        老天保佑鏡頭不要take我的腳
