PHILADELPHIA -- Before Domonic Brown even reached home plate for his first
Major League at-bat in the second inning, the 90th consecutive sellout crowd
gave him a standing ovation at Citizens Bank Park.

        這對新秀而言  是很難得的待遇!

The cheers turned into an even louder roar when Brown laced a 1-1 slider
from D-backs right-hander Edwin Jackson off the scoreboard in right field
for a double, scoring Jayson Werth.

        過沒多久  Domo就把一顆偏低  不知是變速球還是滑球

        掃到右外野全壘打牆  那般了不起的timing跟contact

        在前鎮子貧打費城人裡面  也許兩三場都看不到１回

Brown slid into second, popped up and tipped his helmet to the crowd.

        印象中  歷史上好像首打席全壘打的新秀

        最後成就都沒有很高?

        哈  管他的  幸好是二壘安打

"I wasn't expecting that," Brown said of the ovation. "I wasn't thinking
about that at all. That was great, though."

        Domo說他沒想到初登板會被全體起立歡呼

        他說她壓根兒沒想過

He also displayed some incredible speed when he scored from first on a
double by Carlos Ruiz in the sixth.

        Domo也是快腿  當然他不可能像J-Ro或笑彌陀拿麼快

        但基本上  每年２０盜以上  應該不難...

"It was a lot of fun," Brown said. "I'm going to try and come back and do
the same thing tomorrow. My nerves are there before every game. I was just
trying to have fun."

        多摩君希望明天以後  還能有像今天一樣的好成績

Brown got his shot after center fielder Shane Victorino was placed on the
15-day disabled list with a strained left abdominal muscle Wednesday.
Victorino suffered the injury diving back to first base in the sixth inning
of Tuesday's 9-5 victory over the D-backs.

        笨彌陀  接個普通的高飛球  也會拉傷斜肌

        害我們這下子  藍鳥之子也甭賣了

        不過他自己是覺得有機會再快一點...

Brown hit a combined .327 with 20 home runs and 68 RBIs in 93 games this
season with Double-A Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

        Brown在整個今年AA及AAA的成績  合計打喏２０支全壘打

"He's an exciting player," manager Charlie Manuel said. "He's got tools.
He's got quite a bit of ability."

"I'm glad they didn't trade him," said Halladay. "He's going to be a good
player. To come in, especially to a place like this with the expectations,
fans, media and come in and produce on the first day, that has got to be a
good feeling for him. He deserves a lot of credit."

After a whirlwind day like this, Brown was all smiles in the Phillies'
clubhouse after the game.

"I'm very happy for him," left fielder Raul Ibanez said. "I think he's got
a lot of ability and he showed the type of character that he has. He's a
good player and a really good kid. I think with his talent and his character,
he's going to get better and better. It's exciting for us to have him join
our club."

Brown understands the challenge that awaits for the remainder of the season.
He won't get too excited about one game.

But it was a heck of a start.

"It flew by," Brown said. "I'm just trying to take it all in and come back
to do it the next day. I'm trying to keep my mind focused."
