Phillies slugger Ryan Howard will be presented with year's
Hank Aaron Award winner in the National League before Game 4
of the World Series tonight in St. Louis.
Howard, a St. Louis area native and NL Most Valuable Player candidate,
led the majors with 58 homers and 149 runs batted in. He also hit
.313 in this, his second season in the majors. Howard won the
NL Rookie of the Year award last season.
The award was established in 1999 to honor the 25th anniversary of
Aaron's breaking Babe Ruth's all-time home-run record.
