Carlos Ruiz jumped up from behind home plate, pumped his fist and screamed.

He meant no disrespect, but the moment overcame him following the Phillies'
2-1 victory Wednesday over the Colorado Rockies at Citizens Bank Park. 
Madson, who has been nearly unhittable as the Phillies' closer, allowed a 
leadoff double to start the ninth, but struck out Carlos Gonzalez, Troy 
Tulowitzki and Jason Giambi to end the game.

Madson's emotions ran deep Wednesday. Giambi got him in Game 4 of the 2009 
National League Division Series, which certainly crossed Madson's mind before 
he threw him his first pitch. The Rockies had runners on first and second and 
two outs in the eighth inning in Game 4 when Giambi fisted a single to left 
field on an inside cutter to score a run and tie the game. Madson allowed a 
double on the next at-bat to give the Rockies a two-run lead.

The Phillies came back to win Game 4 in dramatic fashion, but Madson never 
forgot his battle with Giambi.

"I'm not going to let him get me this time," Madson said.

But nobody is getting Madson this season. He is 2-0 with a 0.53 ERA and seven
saves in seven opportunities. Madson has allowed just one earned run in 17 
innings. He has been a clutch performer with Brad Lidge and Jose Contreras on 
the disabled list, and his performance Wednesday proved especially big with 
the Phillies in the midst of a brutal offensive slump.

Rockies left-hander Jorge De La Rosa, who was 0-3 with an 11.34 ERA in four
career starts against the Phillies, retired 13 of the first 14 hitters he 
faced until Raul Ibanez singled to right-center field with one out in the 
fifth. De La Rosa hit Ruiz with a pitch to put runners on first and second. A
passed ball put them on second and third.

Could the Phillies actually cash in?

Wilson Valdez singled to left to score Ibanez and give the Phillies a 1-0 
lead. Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels allowed a run in the seventh to tie 
the game at 1 when both Gonzalez and Todd Helton doubled.
喇喔藉著金排球的1B回到本壘，以1-0領先。第七局時黑魔使被連續敲出兩個2B而丟掉

Hamels continues to pitch well. He allowed five hits and one run, walking one
and striking out eight in eight innings. He is 5-1 with a 2.14 ERA in his
past eight starts.

"His changeup was really good," Helton said. "He was throwing it [in 3-1, 3-2

The Phillies scored the winning run in the eighth. Valdez hit a leadoff 
single to left to get things started. He moved to second on Shane Victorino's
sacrifice bunt and moved to third on De La Rosa's wild pitch. Jimmy Rollins' 
sacrifice fly allowed Valdez to score.

But Madson saved the game. He allowed the double and intentionally walked 
Helton with two outs -- Helton was 5-for-10 in his career against him -- to 
put the winning run on base. Madson got Giambi on five pitches to end the 
game.
但是致勝功臣也要算咩的神一筆。雖然一開始就被敲了支2B，並且在兩出局後故意保送
天敵Helton。但最後咩的神用5球解決掉技安，結束了這場比賽。

Madson had struggled in the closer's role in the past to the point the
Phillies gave Contreras the job when the season started. But since Contreras
has been hurt, Madson has seized the moment.
在季初時費城人將終結者的位置給了老康，這讓咩的神為自己的定位感到掙扎、迷網。

"He can do the job," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said. "His changeup is 
the best I've ever seen it."

Contreras could be back next week. Lidge could be back before the end of 
June. It is going to be interesting to see how the Phillies handle the ninth
inning if Madson, Contreras and Lidge are healthy at the same time and

"It will be a tough decision, but I think it'll work itself out," Manuel
