The 9-year-old Phils fan who made headlines when he was struck by a hit and
run driver back in August, lived every Phillies fan's dream Saturday when he
threw out the ceremonial first pitch in the Phils first playoff game against
the St. Louis Cardinals.

曾經在八月因為嚴重車禍登上頭條的九歲費城球迷Ryan White，實現了每位費城球迷的
夢想，受邀為今日紅雀與費城人之戰開球

Nearly two months since the horrific accident, Ryan White along with his
older brother Kevin, took the mound on Saturday around 5 p.m.

經過該事故兩個月後，今天懷特他的哥哥Kevin協助下，拄著助行架走上投手丘。

White was injured on August 4 in San Francisco while he and his family were
walking to their hotel room after a game between the Phillies and Giants.
Ryan was struck by a Toyota Tundra driving the wrong way down the street. He
was taken to the hospital in critical condition and treated for a traumatic
brain injury, damaged liver, broken pelvis and broken leg. The driver, who
fled the scene after hitting Ryan, was later caught and charged with driving
under the influence and felony hit and run.

White是在8月4日欣賞完在AT&T Park的巨人對費城人之戰後，與他的家人走回住宿的旅館
時，在街道上被一位駕駛Toyota Tundra追撞，立刻緊急送醫治療，除了骨折外，腦部和肝
臟皆受創嚴重。該位駕駛肇事後立刻逃逸，但之後遭到逮捕並被控酒醉駕車與肇事逃逸。


During his first weekend in the hospital, Ryan was visited by Shane
Victorino, Charlie Manuel and Ruben Amaro Jr, who brought him autographed
Phillies clothing, according to the Inquirer.

在他待在醫院的第一個星期，夏威夷人、曼紐與GM阿梅洛均曾探視他，並致贈有Phillies
全體球員簽名的衣服。(巨人總裁Larry Baer也都曾去探視懷特)

As he continued to recover, Ryan was transported to the Children’s Hospital
of Philadelphia on August 15. He finally returned to his home in Lower
Makefield Township on September 10.

在他狀況改善後，Ryan轉院回費城的兒童醫院，並終於在9月10日出院回到家中。(住院共
37天)

The Inquirer reports that Ryan is currently receiving home schooling from a
private tutor provided by the Pennsbury School District and that he’s
skyping with his fourth-grade class at Edgewood Elementary School.

根據報導，Ryan仍然無法回到學校上課，目前是請家教到家中上課。

Ryan’s mother told the Inquirer her son is doing well, undergoing three
therapy sessions a week. He is set for surgery in November for an internal
injury.

Ryan的母親告訴記者她的兒子目前狀況良好，每週有三次復健療程，他將在11月接受進一
步手術以治療體內傷害。

The Ryan White Trust has been set up to cover medical costs for Ryan,
