Rookie swingman Deron Washington has cleared a major step in his quest to be
on the Pistons' opening night roster, but he has a little more work to do.
菜鳥搖擺人 Deron Washington 已經通過了第一道關卡，被選入了開季名單當中。但是
這只一切只是個開始，他還有些工作得完成。

He has signed a contract for next season, but only a small portion is
guaranteed, meaning he has to make the team.
他簽下了明年球季的合約，但是只有一部分是保證合約，也就是說他得用他對球隊的實
際貢獻來證明自己。

Washington, 6-feet-7, was selected in the second round of the 2008 NBA draft
and played last season in Israel in order to refine his skills. He played for
Hapoel Halon and averaged 14.8 points and seven rebounds over 27 games. He
shot nearly 50%, but made only 31% of his three-pointers.
6呎7吋的 Washington 是在2008年第二輪選秀被活塞選中，去年在以色列打球練功。
效力於 Hapoel Halon 的時期，出賽27場，平均拿下14.8分、7籃板，而且命中率高達50%
但比較詬病的是三分球命中率才31%而已。

At the Las Vegas summer league last month, he made several eye-opening dunks
that drew gasps from the crowd, but his offense was inconsistent.
在上個月的夏季聯盟，他有幾個讓人眼睛為之一亮的灌籃，讓觀眾唉到叫不敢...
但是他的進攻效率其實缺乏了一些持續性。

The Pistons believe the former Virginia Tech standout is already an NBA-ready
defender but a work in progress on offense.
活塞相信這位前維吉尼亞理工的傑出球員已經有NBA水準的防守功夫，但是進攻得更加強些
