LOS ANGELES -- The Detroit Pistons have to improve several areas of their game,
especially their once-stingy defense that has been a bit too generous to
opponents lately.

底特律活塞還有幾個待改善的問題，特別是他們曾經引以為傲的銅牆鐵壁，近來
他們對對手的防守還是有點太溫和了。

Point guards have been especially tough on Detroit this season.

After their first eight games, starting point guards averaged 17.1 points per
game against Detroit. That's more than any other position against the Pistons
this season.

On Thursday, second-year Golden State point guard C.J. Watson had a career-high
17 points in Detroit' 107-102 win.

Pistons coach Michael Curry expects Detroit's defense to improve as the season
progresses.

教頭 Michael Curry 期望活塞隊的防守能隨球季的進行慢慢增強。

"I told you all from the beginning, every year you're either establishing your
identity or re-establishing your identity," said Curry, who stressed that the
season is relatively young. "We still have to establish our identity as to who
we're going to be as a team. In order to win a championship or compete for a
championship, you're going to have to be a really good defensive team."

Curry 強調今年球季跟以往相較比來還是不成熟了點：「我開季就說了，每年你都要
打造或是改造球隊的風格。為了成為一支完整的團隊，我們現在依然需要確立我們的
風格。為了要贏得冠軍，你就必須要成為一支非常好的防守球隊。」

Players believe their defense will get stronger with time, just like the team.
They are learning how to play with each other in games, as opposed to training
camp or practice sessions which have been few and far between.

球員們則相信，他們的防守會隨摩合時間而進步，並成為一支好團隊。他們正在學習
如何在比賽中互相配合，因為訓練營跟團隊的練習的時間在球季中已經不多了。

"(We're) a work in progress," Pistons guard Richard Hamilton said. "I think
it's gonna be a great thing. We really haven't had a whole lot of time to
practice and stuff like that. We've just been thrown out there to play."

Change helps Wallace
改變先發陣容幫助了Sheed。

One Piston who should benefit from Kwame Brown's role in the starting lineup is
Rasheed Wallace. The lineup change allows 6-foot-11 Wallace to move back to his
power forward position, which comes naturally to him.

Kwame Brown 擔任先發陣容之後，對 Rasheed Wallace 有一些幫助。這樣的陣容讓
六呎11吋的溪蛙回到大前鋒的位置，也是他最熟悉的位置。

After watching tape, Curry said he could see where Wallace's game wasn't as
sharp defensively as it needed to be, primarily because he was spending most
games guarding centers.

在觀看比賽影帶之後，Curry 表示他可以觀察到 Wallace 的比賽，防守並沒有達到
他應該有的水準，主要的原因就是他必須把大部分的時間花在防守對方中鋒的身上。

"Because Rasheed has been playing the (center) every game, and is pretty much
rooted down in the post, I don't think his movement out on the perimeter on
pick-and-rolls has been as good," Curry said. "He has always been a great
pick-and-roll defender for us. I think this will help him pick back up his
perimeter defense when it comes to handling (power forwards) that put the ball
on the floor, as well as handling those small guards in pick-and-rolls, and
being there to trap them."

「因為 Rasheed 打中鋒就必須好好的紮在禁區，而我認為這樣的位置讓他從禁區中
出擊的動力沒辦法像以前一樣。他一直都是很好的檔拆防守者，而移到大前鋒之後，
當對方大前鋒執行檔拆戰術時，他可以出擊做好防守，同時兼顧持球突破的後衛，
並設下防守陷阱破壞對方的檔拆。」

The position change helped his game in Detroit's 107-102 win at Golden State.
Wallace scored a season-high 19 points which included back-to-back 3-pointers
in the fourth quarter to put the game out of Golden State's reach. He also
grabbed 11 rebounds, which gives him four double-doubles this season.

陣容上的變動幫助 Sheed 的比賽內容。在活塞以107比102擊敗勇士的比賽中，
他得到本季新高的19分，包括第四節 B2B 的三分球，並澆熄勇士反攻的氣焰。
同時他抓下11個籃板，完成了本季第四次的 double-doubles。
