-- LeBron James nailed a 3-pointer with 3:05 left, essentially a dagger shot,
which he punctuated by staring down the Pistons bench.

Nothing new. James was just the latest opposing player to come into The
Palace and kick sand in the Pistons' face.

He scored 33 points to lead the Cavaliers to a 90-80 victory Sunday. Worse,
the Cavaliers turned the game around with a 15-2 run early in the fourth
quarter with James on the bench.

"This is frustrating for every individual on this team," Tayshaun Prince

cherished the opportunity to play hard and keep winning, to come out on the
bad end and be a .500 team is something I've never been around my whole
career."

Detroit (25-21) has lost nine of 12. Worse, it continues to slide down the
ladder in the Eastern Conference. Detroit's 25 victories are tied with Miami

Philadelphia -- the seventh- and eighth-place teams.

"Low," Prince said when asked where the team's confidence level was.

rebounds, and the Pistons went into the fourth up, 66-58.

James tried to low-key the win, but his demonstrative actions on the court
belied his words.

"Any win is special, especially on the road," he said. "We've been trying to
establish a road presence and we know with our rivalry with these guys, it
always adds more fire to the game."

Pistons coach Michael Curry, meanwhile, was trying to deal with his team's
confidence crisis.

"Winning breeds confidence," he said. "The only thing we can do is win some
games. Success. Success breeds confidence."

If anyone is going to criticize or complain about him, Curry would appreciate
it if they would at least identify themselves.

In a story in the Sunday New York Daily News, long-time NBA writer Peter
Vecsey cited a couple of anonymous veteran Pistons as saying they had lost
confidence in Curry.

There was a quote from an identified player that said: "Psychologically,
we've lost confidence in him and I don't know how to get that back."

Saunders. Now it's more a lack of confidence in the rookie coach than a
dislike of him, from what I'm told. "No confidence" is more like it, a
veteran confided to a friend. "Psychologically we've lost confidence in him
and I don't know how you get that back." Biggest gripe from two veterans:
They're convinced Curry is being told who to play by Joe Dumars.

Curry talked about the article before the game.

"Who is it?" he said. "How do you address something without someone's name on
it? It's part of change. I knew coming in and Joe knew coming in, as you make
changes this is going to be part of it. When you lose, this is going to be
part of it. Even when you win, it's part of it."
Curry得知這項消息後，他認為那位球員該具名才對。


Perkins fined

The NBA has fined Boston forward Kendrick Perkins $10,000 for his flagrant-2
hit on Jason Maxiell Friday.

"After I watched the tape, I thought I was going to get fined even more,"
Perkins told the Boston Herald. "But I wasn't trying to go for his head. It
was nothing personal."
Perkins因為對Maxy的惡性犯規被罰了一萬美元。Perkins承認看完帶子後他認為他會
被罰更重。但他也說他不是故意犯那樣的規。


Slam dunks

Stuckey left the game in the fourth quarter after taking a knee to the thigh.
He will be re-evaluated today.

... Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao took five stitches in his lip after
taking an inadvertent elbow from Antonio McDyess .
