Davidson於05年一次訪談中真情流露。
Davidson，出生於底特律，於密西根大學取得商業管理的學士學位，也在韋恩州立大學
取得法律士的學位。
他從事了三年的律師工作，不過最終還是決定放棄，反而接管了一家藥物批發公司。在
三年之內，他讓這家公司鹹魚翻身；在此之後，又再一次的讓一家外科器材公司成功。
最後，他接手了家族事業Guardian Glass Company，其隨後成為Guardian Industries
Corp.，世界上最大的汽車玻璃製造商之一。

在Davidson一筆3000萬美元的捐獻之後，密西根大學商學院創立"William Davidson"協會
，總計Davidson捐獻給他的母校密西根大學之金額超過了美金5500萬元。
Davidson家裡遺留的家人有他的妻子Karen，以及兩個子女，Ethan、Marla。
