PG - Chauncey Billups
    控衛 - 槍蜥

The new richest man on the block, Billups can now finally be paid in line with
his production on the Pistons. While he is probably a tad overpaid, to be frank
, Detroit had no choice but to re-sign him and they hardly killed themselves to
do it. The last year of Billups' contract is a team option and he should still
rank as one of the league's premier point guards until then. Billups is in the
perfect situation in Detroit, where his teammates are good enough to hide some
of his deficiencies as a playmaker while highlighting his exceptional abilities
as a scorer. There is no criticism intended there, merely a recognition of
ideal fit enjoyed by Billups and his employer.
    槍蜥剛成為球隊陣中最高薪的球員，他現在終於可以在活塞隊領到符合身價的表現。
儘管他的薪水有過於高估的可能性，老實說，底特律別無選擇只能和他續約而且他們後悔
這麼做的機會也不高。去年槍蜥的合約是球隊選擇權而到那時候為止他應該還名列聯盟頂

SG - Richard Hamilton

Steady, consistent, high-percentage. There isn't much anyone can knock Hamilton
for. He brings the kind of dependability to work every day that most teams
would kill for from any one of their players. He's an unconventional All-Star
by today's standards, but his production and dedication warrant his selection
over many other so-called 'superstars' in the NBA today and his throwback
approach to the NBA that is returning to vogue should be (but won't be)
recognized as trendsetting in the modern NBA.
    穩定、一致、高命中率。其實任何人都沒有什麼可以批評RIP的地方。他每天都為球隊
提供了可靠的表現，而那正符合絕大多數球隊對於陣中球員的期待。以今日的標準而言，
他並不是一個典型的全明星球員，但他的表現和貢獻讓他得以勝過許多其他所謂的'超級巨
星'，順利入選全明星賽，而且他將即將失傳的技藝完美重現於今日的NBA賽場，也應該會
獲得認同，再次在現代的NBA引領風騷。

SF - Tayshaun Prince
    小前鋒 - 小王子

Was there a more unexpected name to make it to this summer's USA contingent at
the Tournament of the Americas? While that team, and any team, can find a use
for a player as versatile as Prince, he hardly seemed an obvious selection
alongside Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. Yet there he was, each
and every game (save for one against Mexico, missed due to an ankle sprain)
plying his trade as if all his teammates around him weren't electrifying the
highlight reels. It goes to show you how much the attitudes have changed about
what is important in a basketball team that Prince is such a highly paid and
decorated player despite being the definition of a complimentary piece. Or
maybe people are just intoxicated by his behind-the-back,
pin-you-to-the-backboard blocks. Who's to say?
    在今年夏天美錦賽的美國隊陣容當中還有任何一個名字比小王子更令人意想不到嗎？
儘管在那支球隊，或任何一支球隊中，都能找到一個像小王子這樣多才多藝的球員，但他
能夠與Kobe、LBJ和甜瓜等人共同入選還是跌破許多人的眼鏡。儘管他入選讓人有些意外，
但每場比賽(除了在對上墨西哥的比賽中因為腳踝扭傷而缺賽)他都全力以赴，彷彿他身旁
的隊友全都是身懷絕技但無心戀戰的武林高手。那讓你了解到態度在一支籃球隊中能夠讓
球員的重要性發生多大的改變，儘管大家原本認為他是不重要的一塊拼圖，但小王子仍是
個高投資報酬率而且榮譽至上的好球員。或許人們可能只是對於他從後方釘板的蓋鍋功夫
印象深刻。誰要來說說看呢？

PF - Rasheed Wallace
    大前鋒 - 溪蛙

After last season's unexpected playoff exit at the hands of the Cavaliers,
there was a chorus of voices demanding Rasheed Wallace been shown the door out
of the Palace of Auburn Hills. His lackadaisical play, his disinterested
attitude and his re-emergent temper had all worn thin with many a Pistons
 faithful. As the days wore on, however, Joe Dumars made it clear that Wallace
wasn't going anywhere, and the hordes - with their cries - died down. Despite
the backing of the boss, though, one has to believe that Wallace will be
closely monitored this season. With Billups and Hamilton each being on the bad
side of thirty by the time the playoffs roll around, the Pistons don't have as
open a window as most of their Eastern counterparts. Thus, if Wallace continues
to assert that he is no longer part of the solution, expect him to find himself
in a new home by this time next year.
    在上個球季季後賽意外中箭落馬，成為騎士手下敗將後，就有一些關於溪蛙表現不佳
，要求他離開奧本山宮殿的雜音存在。他漫不經心的表現，他漠不關心的態度還有他再度
出現的火爆脾氣一再地與活塞精神產生牴觸。儘管，隨著時間過去，老喬已經表明了溪蛙
哪裡都不會去，所以那些希望他被交易的聲浪也逐漸平息了。儘管有了老闆的背書，相信
溪蛙這個球季的表現將會被擺在放大鏡下面觀察。隨著季後賽時間流逝，槍蜥和RIP也分別
顯出老態，活塞沒必要再替他們東區的敵手們打開一扇機會之窗。所以，如果溪蛙繼續擺
爛，讓大家認為他已經不再是球隊奪冠的拼圖，可以預期明年的這個時間他就會到新東家
去報到了。


C - Nazr Mohammed
    中鋒 - 回教人

It's hard to say exactly what went wrong here last year. While Mohammed has
hardly been a star at this position in the past, many credit San Antonio's late
surge in 2005 to his arrival from New York. Last season, though, he looked
dazed and confused as the Pistons' starter, and was very quickly shunted off to
the bench when Chris Webber made his late-season debut for his hometown team.
Now, with Webber departed, Mohammed is once again thrust into the starting five
with no real hope to fair better than he did last year. Of course, there
remains a possibility that head coach Flip Saunders shakes up convention and
starts Rasheed Wallace here and either Antonio McDyess or even Jason Maxiell at
the four spot, but Saunders has hardly shown a taste for the unexpected in
Motown and so expecting it now would probably be premature.
    實在很難去確切說明去年到底是出了什麼問題。儘管過去回教人在這個位置很難稱得
上是個明星球員，至少他在紐約尼克還有'05年球季末段在聖安東尼奧馬刺的表現還是獲得
許多人的肯定。不過去年他在擔任活塞先發中鋒期間看起來卻是一副茫然不知所措的樣子
，而且在上個球季中段威爸首次穿著他故鄉球隊的球衣亮相後很快就被甩到板凳席上的最
角落處。現在威爸離開了，雖然比起去年，眾人對他並沒有真的抱持什麼什麼希望，但回
教人還是會再一次披掛上陣，擔任球隊先發中鋒的吃重角色。當然，還是存在著老桑教練
不按牌理出牌的可能性，或許他會讓溪蛙擔任中鋒，而讓袋鼠或甚至J-Max負責四號位置。
但老桑幾乎未曾拿出超乎大家預期的表現，所以從現在就開始抱持期待，是不是真的有點
言之過早了呢。
