Tougher Bulls charge past Pistons
硬起來的公牛連活塞都沒輒

AUBURN HILLS -- The Pistons appear to be the tonic for whatever ails the Chicag
o Bulls. They danced off The Palace court like they had just won a playoff series Friday
, stopping the Pistons' five-game win streak, 98-91.
今日的活塞看起來似乎成了公牛連敗的一帖良方啊。歡欣鼓舞地離開皇宮就像他們剛打贏

Two of the Bulls' six wins this season now have come courtesy of the Pistons. T
hey have won the last four regular-season games against the Pistons, as well.

"Definitely disappointing," said Antonio McDyess. "They might've been strugglin
g, but for some reason, they are always up to play us and we didn't respond lik

The Bulls definitely brought the fight to the Pistons. They won the rebound bat
tle, 51-39. They had 17 offensive rebounds and a 20-5 edge in second-chance poi
nts.
公牛在籃板方面51-39大勝，當中有17個進攻籃板且掌握了多數的第二次進攻機會(20-5)。




"With the way we played and the way they rebounded, we should have lost by 20 o
r 25 points, man," Chauncey Billups said.
槍B: 光籃板的差異，一來一往就等於我們多輸了20~25分了吧。



The Pistons had no answer for the man they once laughed at. Andres Nocioni came
 off the bench to score 22 for the Bulls, 17 in the second half.
今晚活塞對Nocioni很沒輒，他今晚雖然從板凳出發卻得了22分，其中有17分是下半場貢獻
。



"We tried to stay big against him," coach Flip Saunders said, "and he would eit
her hit the 3-pointer or drive right around us. We couldn't contain him."

The Bulls, as they so often do, got the Pistons out of their five-man game and
reduced them to playing a lot of one-on-one, isolation basketball.

"We definitely weren't playing the strong-side, weak-side game we had been play
ing," Saunders said. "They were aggressive and they played hard and we just did
n't do what we'd been doing."

Richard Hamilton (24 points) got it going in the third quarter, and the Pistons
 rode him for 10 points and stayed within one point.

But he faltered in the fourth. The Pistons didn't score for the first three min
utes and the Bulls took a 79-71 lead.

That's when Billups took over. He scored 10 straight points, and ended with 15
in the fourth quarter.

But the rest of the team only mustered five points.

"We were struggling to get it going and once you do find somebody who's going,
you want to ride it because we had been searching for such a long time," said B
illups. "Hindsight is 20-20, but if I had been more aggressive early, we might
have had a chance."

Billups finished with 27 points and had the Pistons within three twice in the f
ourth, but they couldn't get enough stops to come all the way back.

Nocioni beat Rasheed Wallace to the basket and converted a three-point play. Lu
ol Deng (17 points) hit two clutch jumpers and Chris Duhon, who took the worst
of Billups' barrage, had five big points down the stretch.

The hustle tone was set early, when Ben Wallace (10 points, 13 rebounds and fou
r blocks) and Joe Smith combined for 24 first-half rebounds, five more than the
 entire Pistons team. The Bulls had an 18-2 edge in second-chance points.
這會是場硬仗其實在上半場就有警訊，當班蛙(10Pts, 13Rbs, 4 Blk)與J.Smith光上半場
就共同掌握了24個籃板球，比活塞所有人還多了5個。也讓公牛製造了許多第二次進攻機會(1
8-2)。



Wallace came into the game having made just 10 free throws all season. He made
eight in a row in this one.
班蛙本季不過也才進過10顆罰球(…)，但今晚他靠罰球就拿下了8分。



"It was good to play from out in front instead of playing from behind all the t
ime," Wallace said.
班蛙說:一路領先當然比一路追趕好啊!!



The game also featured a bizarre call. Kirk Hinrich was guarding Hamilton close
ly in the first quarter. Hamilton tried to extricate himself and ran over Hinri
ch. Referee Luis Grillo called a foul on Hinrich and a technical on Hamilton.
這場比賽有個詭異的吹判。當Q1由Hinrich貼身防守RIP時，RIP試著甩開他，裁判L.Grillo
給了Hinrich一個犯規，也同時給RIP一個T。



"He knocked Hinrich down," Grillo yelled to the protesting Pistons' bench. To w
hich Rasheed Wallace correctly pointed out, "Then call the offensive foul."
裁判對著活塞的板凳做出這個吹判的解釋 : 因為RIP把Hinrich弄倒。
但溪蛙正確地指出 "俺認為這個即使要吹也叫做進攻犯規吧! "
