就在detnews隨隊記者Chris McCosky這麼肯定地寫出老桑會繼續在下季回來執教後
mlive的隨隊記者A. Sherrod Blakely和底特律自由報的隨隊記者Krista Jahnke都
寫了一篇不那麼肯定的報導。

Blakely表示，多個聯盟消息來源指出老桑仍舊很有可能會被解聘， 而且會在近日
內做出決定。

Blakely和Jahnke 都表示Dumars和大老闆Bill Davidson會在近日內會面。 Jahnke
根據消息人士透露的說法是他們"很快"就會見面，而老桑的未來也會在他們會面後
明朗化。消息人士並透露星期六老桑和Dumars的會談並沒有討論到本季活塞的表現
等等。Blakely也說之前的會談沒決定老桑是否要留下來。

老桑在2005年簽了一紙四年2000萬的合約。

記者McCosky倒是在今天為自己之前的報導辯護。

他說他也沒寫說老桑回來活塞是肯定的。他說活塞教頭的工作瞬息萬變，只是就星
期一為止計畫是讓老桑完成他的合約。

然後McCosky 談到了活塞大老闆Davidson。如果Davidson想要換教練活塞就會換教
練。2003年時Dumars是想讓Carlisle回來的，但Davidson固執地不想讓Carlisle再
執教下去，所以活塞只能跟他說再見。
