The Pistons won. No, wait. They lost. Wait a second, now maybe the Knicks
lost.
活塞贏了!!!!!! 不!等等!他們輸了...再等一下~~輸的應該是尼克喔!!
Such was the freaky roller-coaster nature of Wednesday's game, as the Pistons
and New York Knicks needed nerve-shredding triple-overtime to determine who
wanted to win at Madison Square Garden.
這有如雲霄飛車般的情形，活生生的在星期三晚上上演著。活塞和尼克打了一場讓人幾
乎要精神崩潰的三度延長比賽，試圖證明誰真的擁有那股毅力拿下在麥迪遜花園廣場的
勝利。
And today, Chauncey Billups is probably kicking himself.
而這天，槍蜥似乎跟自己有什麼深仇大恨。
The Pistons lost 151-145, despite a career-high 51 points from Rip Hamilton.
雖然有Rip生涯得分新高51分的加持，活塞還是以145-151的比數丟掉了這場比賽。
The Pistons could have won in either of the first two overtimes, but the
Knicks -- with Billups' assistance -- kept the game going

The Pistons had a 122-119 lead with 25 seconds left in the first overtime.
Billups fouled Stephon Marbury while Marbury was shooting a 3-pointer with
only 22.4 seconds left.
活塞在第一次延長賽剩下25秒時還以122-119的比數領先，但是槍蜥在時間剩下22.4秒的
時候，對正要投出三分球的Starbury下手犯規。
Marbury hit all three free throws, tying the score at 122. Billups went for a
3-pointer on the last possession of the first overtime, but it rimmed out.
Nazr Mohammad's putback didn't go either.

Billups complicated things again at the end of the second overtime, fouling
Jamal Crawford with 8.9 seconds to go. Crawford drove at Billups, hit the
runner, and made the free throw to bring the Knicks within one.

sending the game into the third overtime.

Billups tried to be a hero in the third overtime, trying for a 3-pointer from
the top of the key, without any offensive rotation, with 20.7 seconds left.
The Pistons were only down 146-145 at that point.

Lost in all the overtime insanity is the fact the Pistons needed Carlos
Delfino just to get there.

They had the final possession of regulation, down 116-113, with less than 10
seconds to play. Delfino inbounded to Tayshaun Prince, who passed back to
Delfino for the triple.

Knicks to take the lead in the final seconds.

But in many ways, the Pistons shouldn't have allowed this game to come down
to the last seconds or overtime.

The Pistons played defense-lite for most of the game, allowing the Knicks to
shoot well over 50 percent.

Wide-bodied Knicks center Eddy Curry and point guard Marbury frequently
sliced through the Pistons interior with little consequence.

Marbury finished with a season-high 41 points, before fouling out midway in
the second overtime.

overtime.

"We played hard, but we didn't play smart," Saunders said. "We made bad
decisions, but I can't fault our guys' effort."
