Pistons head back to Chicago focused on ending second round

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - The Pistons expected Chicago's best shot in Game 3. They
absorbed it, wobbled a little, then wound up and delivered a haymaker to the Bu
lls' solar plexus that knocked them into the middle of Lake Michigan.
活塞早預料到公牛在第三戰會盡其所能地反擊，但他們即使出了點小trouble最後仍然搞定

And now they're probably not sure what to expect from the Bulls as they stand o
ne loss from being swept in a series most expected to come close to going the d
istance. But they're erring on the side of caution.

"They're going to have a sense of urgency," Pistons coach Flip Saunders said af
ter Saturday's light practice before the team returned to the Windy City for wh

 have to keep our course and we'll be OK."

It bears watching how much resolve the Bulls will have after getting kicked in
the teeth just when it looked as if they had worked their way back into the ser
ies, taking a 19-point lead early in Game 3's second half before giving all but
 one point of it away before the third quarter ended and losing by seven.
想也知道公牛在被打得滿地找牙之後有多大的決心想扳回一城，他們努力將系列戰拉回他

"That had to be disheartening for them," Chris Webber said. "To have us down an
d us come back like that. I don't know what they're mind-frame is, but I know o
urs - ours is to close it out. You don't want to play a lot of games. Not playi
ng another game - that was Game 3's whole thing: 'Let's win so we don't have to
 come back to Detroit and play.' Hopefully, our mind-set is the same."

Webber's been on the other side early in his career with Golden State and Sacra
mento and remembers what that was like.

"You just try to come out and make good things happen and play hard," he said.

The Pistons don't expect Bulls coach Scott Skiles to try anything dramatic in G
ame 4. If he had something up his sleeve, he would played that card in Game 3.
Instead, he shortened his bench, going to explosive rookie Tyrus Thomas early b
ut scaling back his minutes late and not using Chris Duhon - who typically play
s significant minutes behind Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon, but who missed a film
 session between games 2 and 3 - at all.
活塞不認為Skiles在Game4會拿出什麼新把戲。如果他真的有藏什麼王牌，Game3早該亮出
來了。取而代之的，是他太早排出Tyrus Thomas，但又太慢換下場。也沒有好好利用Duhon-

"They're going to play hard," Rip Hamilton said. "You know that for a fact. The
y're going to come out and play just like they did last game. We know they're n
ot going to quit."

"A lot of the same," Chauncey Billups said when asked what he expected from Chi
cago in Game 4. "We'll be a lot different in the first half. In being a little
non-aggressive and letting them make the first punch, I think we learned from t
hat - come out and be aggressive at the start of the game."

It seems logical to assume that if things don't go well for the Bulls early Sun
day, they probably aren't going to end well, either. Saunders said the start of
 the game will be especially important.
"We're trying to get our last win and they're trying to get their first win. Yo
u're looking at a situation where both teams have a lot of anxiety going into t
he game. That's why the first quarter is going to be extremely important to do
the things you want to do and not play out of character."
可以預料的是，在週日的比賽一開始公牛就不會太輕鬆。當然結果對他們來說應該也不會
太好，應該很合理吧。老桑說比賽的開始是非常重要的。
我們會想辦法拿下這關鍵的最後一勝，他們也會想辦法拿下他們的第一勝。你知道兩隊在
這場關鍵的比賽都會燃燒彼此的小宇宙。那就是為什麼我說第一節做好該做的事情並且不要
神遊會是Game4相當相當重要的一件事情。

"  Saunders said the decision to return home between games was an easy one.
"Who wants to stay in Chicago for two days? There's too much to do," he said. "
You come home, guys had all day yesterday to spend time at home, got two nights
 sleep in their own bed. We basically did what we did during the season. If we
played in Cleveland and weren't playing again for three days, we would have com
e home and then gone to Chicago. We're keeping the same routine."

那我們仍然會回家再去Chicago。我們依舊會保持這個routine。"

"  Saunders didn't use Lindsey Hunter in the second half of Game 3, going for a
 brief time to Flip Murray for Hamilton in the fourth quarter. He said he used
Murray because his penetration ability was called for against Chicago's aggress
ive defense. As for Game 4, the course of the game will determine which backup
guard gets the call.
老桑在Game3下半場都沒派上獵人。派上了魔銳在第四節頂替Rip。他說使用魔銳是因為滲
透能力會使得芝加哥在防守端必須更積極。在Game4，應該也會一樣由同樣的替補後衛上場。
