CHICAGO -- The Detroit Pistons had gone nearly a month without losing a
basketball game. The Chicago Bulls endured two weeks without winning one.

活塞已經將近一個月沒吃過敗仗了。而公牛則在近兩禮拜沒贏過一場球。

Logic says something was bound to give -- and it finally did.

就邏輯上來說有些事是應該要發生了-----而在今天，它發生了。

The Pistons failed in their first chance to close out the Bulls, losing
102-87 in Sunday's Game 4 at the United Center.The series shifts back
to The Palace, with the Pistons taking a 3-1 lead into Tuesday's Game 5.

Nobody expected Ben Wallace and his Bulls to go down without some kind of
fight. Wallace even showed up with his calling card, having his 'fro flying.
"Our guys clearly had no intention of rolling over," Bulls coach Scott Skiles
said. "We made a statement that we wanted to go back there (Detroit)."

the Pistons lost. And the loss ends the Pistons' 2007 playoff winning streak
at seven.

There were some early signs this wouldn't be the Pistons' day: Chauncey Billups
getting into early foul trouble, Chris Webber's and Richard Hamilton's sub-par
scoring, and the Bulls having some players step up.

on the job (Sunday)."Billups finished with a team-high 23 points, but

Kirk Hinrich also had a big day, with 19 points and 10 assists.

Pistons coach Flip Saunders wasn't happy with his team's performance, but knew
it would be tough to sweep the Bulls on the road."We kept fighting back, but
we couldn't get over the hump," Saunders said. "We had too many guys not
playing well. We've always had a situation where a guy carried the team. We
didn't really have that. "The big thing in the playoffs is, how you bounce back
when you lose. … We got beat, and at times, we played out of character,"
Saunders said.

The third quarter proved to be the breaking point, as the Bulls surged ahead
and the Pistons lost their cool. The Pistons were only down seven at halftime.
The Bulls outscored the Pistons 27-13 in the third, taking command with
rebounding. Ben Wallace was a force, with seven rebounds, five points and a
block.

第三節明顯是個轉淚點，公牛在這一節超前比分，而活塞卻失去了平常心。活塞在半場時
僅落後七分。公牛在這一節的得分以27-13大勝，並控制了籃板球。大班是造成這個狀況的

Still, the Pistons were able to give the Bulls a scare, staging a comeback in
the fourth quarter. The Pistons hacked away at the 21-point deficit, getting
to within seven with 3:44 to play.

然而活塞卻不放棄，在第四節反攻嚇了公牛一跳。他們由落後21分開始追趕，在終場前
3:44秒時僅落後7分。

But the Bulls didn't cave this time, unlike Game 3's monumental collapse.
Hinrich provided a decisive blow, taking a charge from a driving Billups at
3:34. Ben Gordon took advantage of Hamilton missing a defensive assignment
14 seconds later, hit a 3-pointer, and the Pistons were down for good.

但公牛這一次沒有陽痿，第三戰讓人記憶深刻的崩盤並沒有出現。Hinrich在終場前3:34秒
完成決定性的一擊，從槍蜥手中要到一個進攻犯規。Gordon則在十四秒後利用RIP未及時的

"That was the biggest play of the game," Billups said. "We had them where we
wanted and Kirk made a good play to draw the charge and then Gordon hit the
3. That was big."

Billups said the Pistons had gotten used to feeling good after every playoff
game. But things change. Things were probably due to change."It's different

playoffs."
