The guard leads the Pistons with 20.5 points a game and
is shooting a team-best 50.7% from the floor among players with at least 15
shot attempts.

On Rip City Day, held every September in Ash Park in his hometown of
Coatesville, Pa., where he buys and distributes clothes, toys and school
supplies to children: "It's for the kids. It's a day that everybody puts
everything aside, all the negativity, just to come together for one thing and
that's to build the community up, have fun and enjoy it. We have free food,
free bikes for the kids, school clothes for the kids, everybody gets T-shirts,
trophies -- we have a lot of stuff."

關於Rip City Day─
每年9月在家鄉的Ash公園，RIP會在那發送衣物、玩具、及上課用具給小朋友們。
"這是屬於孩子們的一天。這天大家放下手邊的事情、放下陌生感，只要純粹來這邊
聯絡感情，過個快樂的一天。
這裡有免費的食物、免費的腳踏車、免費的校服，每個來這的人都會拿到一件T-shirt
跟一些紀念品，我們這兒可是有很多東西的呢！"

On his 10 iPods: "Music is everything. Just a guy like Tupac Shakur, he's a
poet. You can listen to it before a game, at home, in your car, whenever. I
have so many iPods just for the fact that I need one in every car, I need one
in every room. Because I hate picking one up, taking it with me, then all of a
sudden, I leave it in a bag or a hotel."

關於RIP的10個IPod─
"音樂就是一切。就像2Pac這個歌手，他一整個是個詩人...
你可以在比賽前、在家裡、在車上聽他的歌，其實主要的原因是因為我需要在我的
每台車上、每個房間裡放一個IPod啦。我討厭拿來拿去的，尤其是萬一我在攜帶的時候
把它忘在某個袋子或在某間旅館裡..."
譯注：
Tupac Shakur=2Pac，全名為Tupac "2Pac" Amaru Shakur，
美國偉大的幫派饒舌(Gangsta)歌手。生於1975年，1996年在拉斯維加斯被槍殺。
有一部自傳電影《Tupac: Resurrection》可以去看他的生平。
(如果不知道什麼叫做Gangsta的話，可參考台灣一個消失在洪流中的團體"鐵竹堂"，
但是在民風純樸，且被麻吉那種蠢嘻哈污染日深的台灣，Gangsta是流行不起來的。)

On the favorite of his 10 cars: "My '84 Buick LeSabre. It's got probably over
100,000 miles. I drive it when I want to see how far I've come. It was my first
car that I've ever had, in 10th grade, and I still have it. I did the inside
all over but left the outside the same -- no candy paint. So when I look at it
from the outside, it gives me a sense of memory on how far I've come, and when
I get into it, it lets me know I made it."

關於RIP10台車中的最愛─
"當然是我那台84年的別克LeSabre，它的里程大概已經超過100000哩了吧，
我可以開著它去我想要去的地方。它可是我的第一台車呢(在RIP十年級時購入)！
我把這台車的內裝全部更新了，但是保留了他的外型。
所以囉，當我在外頭看時，這車會勾起我的回憶。
而進了車子，會讓我感覺到'這可都是我做的呢！'"

On how he got into fashion: "I just loved it growing up. Coatesville, where I'm
from, Philadelphia, is a big fashion city. Just growing up, you always wanted
to have a sense of style."

關於RIP如何追求流行─
"我愛買衣服，我老家─費城的Coastesville，那裡可是個流行重鎮。
當你穿衣服的時候，你自然會想到要有個STYLE"

On Rip City, his signature gear: "It was just something I wanted to do. Every
kid wants to wear something that says their name on it. I think Rip City means
a lot. It's not just a name, it's a movement. It can represent so many
different things, and I just enjoy it."

關於Rip City簽名服─
"這是我想要做的某些事情。每個小孩都想要穿著有他的名字的衣服，我想Rip City
這不只是一個名字，這還是一個動力，這可以代表許多事情呢，而我樂於享受著。"
(OS:這一段我就覺得怪怪了...所以我只能憑著第一段的活動來猜測RIP想講什麼。

On what he would do if he weren't playing basketball: "I'd want to do a lot of
things. One, I'd actually want to be a chef. Two, own my own business. Three, I
want to start my own rec center to teach kids about health and how to treat
your body as an investment."

如果RIP不打籃球，他想做什麼─
"我想做很多很多事情：
第一，我真的很想當個廚師。
第二，我想有我自己的公司。
第三，我想要創辦一個中心來教導孩子們有關於健康的事情，
以及如何把自己的身體當做一個投資來看待。"

On if his protective mask has become part of his identity: "I think for the
people that don't really know basketball and they turn on the TV and say, 'Oh,
who's that guy with the mask?' That kind of sticks to them. I turn into a
different player."

關於他的招牌面具─
"我想有些不懂籃球的人打開電視，說「嘿，誰是那個帶著面具的人呀？」
那會有點吸引他們。或許在他們的心中，戴上了面具我就會變成另一個人吧！"
