NEW YORK, Dec. 1 – The Detroit Pistons’ Flip Saunders and the Dallas
Mavericks’ Avery Johnson today were named the Eastern and Western Conference
Coaches of the Month for games played in November.
12月1日紐約報導 - 活塞隊總教練F.Saunders和達拉斯小牛總教練A.Johnson今天分別
獲選為東區和西區11月份的最佳教練。
Saunders, in his first season as head coach of the Pistons, led the team to
an 11-2 record, and became the first coach in Pistons history to start his
tenure at 8-0. Detroit ranks first in scoring differential (7.8), has held
nine of 13 opponents under 90 points and has averaged 113.6 points at home.
在活塞執教的第一季，Saunders帶領球隊寫下11勝2敗的開季成績，並且成為活塞隊史
上第一位任教前8場比賽全勝的總教練。底特律目前有領先全聯盟的得失分比(7.8)，在13
場中有9場對手得分無法突破90，且在主場比賽的平均得分達到113.6分。
Johnson led the Mavericks to a 10-4 record for the month, which included wins
over Phoenix, San Antonio, Detroit and Miami. The last time a team defeated
all four conference finalists from the previous playoffs in the first month
of the season was 1962. The Mavericks shot 46.6 percent from the field,
averaged 99.3 points and held opponents to under 90 points five times.
Johnson帶領小牛在11月拿下10勝4敗，其中包括擊敗鳳凰城、聖安東尼奧、底特律和
邁阿密等強隊。上一次有球隊在開季前一個月就分別擊敗前一季四支參與分區總冠軍賽的

Other nominees for the Coach of the Month award were Cleveland's Mike Brown,
Golden State's Mike Montgomery, Los Angeles Clippers’ Mike Dunleavy, New
Orleans/Oklahoma City's Byron Scott, Orlando's Brian Hill and San Antonio’s
Gregg Popovich.
其他被提名者包括：克里夫蘭的M.Brown、金州的M.Montgomery、洛杉磯快艇的M.
