The Pistons will be home for the holidays, and you would think they would feel
great with five straight games at the Palace.

Tuesday night's game against Portland started the five-game home stand, which
will come in a 10-day stretch. After Tuesday, the Pistons will have played nine
at home and 14 on the road. They're an NBA-best 12-2 on the road.

The marquee matchups will be Christmas Day against defending NBA champion San
Antonio and Dec. 29 against Eastern Conference finalist Miami. Golden State
plays Friday at the Palace; Toronto plays there Dec. 27.

The game Tuesday was the Pistons' fourth in five days and followed a
double-overtime victory Monday at Memphis.

"It feels good," guard Richard Hamilton said about the five-game home stand. "
It feels good to come back and lay in your own bed, eat your own food. I'm
tired of being in hotels. I think this will be good for us, especially with us
able to win."

All the travel is just "part of the league," Saunders said, and this is no time
to relax.

"It's a scary thing," he said. "You play well and you get into a rhythm. It's
good, but you can't think just because you're coming home. ... A lot of times
you think that now you're home you can get a sigh or relief and relax. That's

to have that same edge that when you play on the road."

Saunders has been impressed with the Pistons' resilience, such as their 106-104
victory at Memphis.

you play they're going to give you their best shot, whether it's on the road,

defensive player of the year. Wallace mostly guarded the Grizzlies' leading
scorer, Pau Gasol, who scored a game-high 32 points. But in the two overtimes,
Wallace held Gasol to two points.

Wallace finished with nine points, 14 rebounds, four steals and five blocked
shots. But the most impressive stat was his time on the court -- 56:09.

Saunders said he knew he took a chance by playing Wallace straight up on Gasol.
But Saunders didn't want to play into the hands of the Grizzlies, who often
pass the ball to perimeter players when opponents double Gasol.
Saunders表示他知道讓班蛙獨自一個人去防守Gasol是個冒險，但他不願意落入灰熊的
圈套，因為他們經常在敵隊包夾Gasol時將球傳給有空檔的隊友去投中距離。
