Q. Do you think the Pistons will win 70 games this season?

A. Let's not get carried away. First of all, it's way too early to speculate on
something like that. There are still four months left in the regular season.
Too many things can happen, both to the Pistons and to the other teams in the
league.

Q. Do you think the 72 victories will ever be topped?

A. I can't really imagine it. Think about what the Bulls did. In that 1995-96
season, there were seven teams that won 50 or more games. Orlando and Seattle

heads, and they lost focus.

coaching change. Larry Brown had very few friends among the refereeing
community.

control. Referees have learned to listen to what he's saying instead of

carrying on a logical (albeit loud) debate.
