AUBURN HILLS -- Thus far, the Pistons have stayed true to their mission
statement, which is to treat every game with the same focus, win as many as
possible and secure home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.

It has been relatively subtle, but Saunders has implemented a few more chapters
of his voluminous playbook in the last couple of weeks. And it appears the
beneficiary of the new options has been Hamilton.

Hamilton leads the Pistons in scoring (21.6 points), field-goal proficiency

averaged 22 points and 4.5 assists. He was averaging less than 3.0 assists
previously.

Hunter update

Saunders watched Lindsey Hunter create all kinds of havoc during the daily
three-on-three scrimmages between the reserve players Sunday and said, "Yeah,
I guess maybe he is ready."

Hunter is ready, physically, at least. The surgically-repaired ankle is sound.

"If we were in the playoffs right now and we needed him, he would play,"
