Just in time for the playoffs, the Pistons have found defensive comfort and
offensive versatility in their off-the-bench backcourt combination of Tony Delk
and Lindsey Hunter.

Coach Flip Saunders has turned to the two in recent games, using them to
complement each other and play any of three positions -- point guard, shooting
guard or small forward.

Hunter, known mostly as a defensive plugger, has shown his scoring abilities in
recent games. He scored a season-high 14 points in 21 minutes against Indiana
on Sunday, making six of his eight shot attempts.

And Delk, a scorer through and through, has averaged 14 points over the last

can bring the ball up and get you into an offense," Saunders said. "And they're
both pretty good defensively. We pick up our defense, we get active, we force

He said Hunter often finds a gym on the road to sneak into late at night for
extra shooting.

Hunter, who missed the season's first four months recovering from ankle surgery
, said it doesn't matter what kind of gym. High school, church, fitness club,
wherever.

、健身俱樂部，哪都可以。
"It's just what I do," Hunter said. "Being out as long as I've been out, I'm
just trying to get myself into condition. I just try to work myself extra. We
get into a city, just give me a gym and a ball, and I go."

His after-hours workouts haven't escaped the attention of his coach or
teammates. Shooting guard Richard Hamilton, in particular, seemed to enjoy
watching from the bench as Hunter lit up the scoreboard in Sunday's second
quarter.

"I had a good time with it," Hamilton said. "He's my vet, so every time he does
well, I'm excited for him. And I know what he's capable of doing out there. I
always tell him, you're going to get wide-open looks, so just keep moving and
running, and you're going to score in this league."

GLAD TO BE BACK: Hamilton returned to the lineup Sunday after missing Friday's
game in Orlando to attend the funeral of a family member.
歡迎歸隊：RIP因為參加一個家族成員的喪禮而缺席星期五在奧蘭多的比賽，但他星期
天就回到先發陣容之中。
"I felt a sigh of relief when I got out onto the floor," he said. "You kind of
forget everything that's going on off the court when you get an opportunity to
play. I didn't smile all day, but when I get out on this floor, I've got an
opportunity to smile and have fun."
