To their long list of 2005-06 accomplishments, the Pistons just added another:
a six-point blowout.
對活塞而言，他們僅是在自己'05-'06年球季眾多成就之中再添一筆：一場以6分差輕

I don't know how they did it. Late in the first quarter on Sunday, the Pistons
led 38-11, at which point the Knicks were mathematically eliminated from my
attention span.

The Pistons have now won 64 games, the most in franchise history. It is a
remarkable record by any measure (no NBA team has won this many since the
1999-2000 Lakers, who won 67 before deciding that infighting was more fun) but
even more impressive because this was supposed to be a season of adjustment.

It all seems so funny now, doesn't it? If the Pistons miss Brown, it is not in
the way one might miss a relative. More like missing another car on the
expressway. Life is not as eventful now, but the journey is much smoother.

When I asked Ben Wallace when the Pistons became Flip's team, he looked at me
like I'd suggested a crew cut.

In other words, it belongs to nobody -- certainly not the head coach. Wallace
is right. This really isn't Flip's team. He is just coaching it exceptionally
well.

In somewhat related news, Brown's debut season with the Knicks has not felt
like one year, either; to the Knicks, it has felt like five to ten with no
parole.

Brown will end his first Knicks season the same way he ended his Pistons tenure
with questions about his health. Brown left the Knicks last week because of
acid reflux. Two games later, he is still out. In a statement, the Knicks said
Brown "is fully cleared to return to the bench when he feels ready;" in other
words, it is Brown's call, and it would be nice if he made it.
布朗將以如同他結束活塞任教職務的方式結束在尼克的處女球季，他因為個人健康問

I have no idea how Brown actually feels, but teams rarely question the
seriousness of a coach's illness, and the fact that the Pistons and (apparently
) the Knicks have been skeptical tells you all you need to know about him.
我不曉得布朗到底感覺如何，但球隊甚少詢問教練病情的嚴重程度，而事實上活塞、(
顯然還有)尼克對於向媒體透露有關布朗的消息時總顯得有所遲疑與顧忌。

Brown sabotaged the Knicks this season. Their roster is a jumbled mess but
there was still enough talent for a playoff run. To me, it looks like vintage
Larry Brown: he knew this year's disaster would be pinned on general manager
Isiah Thomas, and that any subsequent success would be credited to Brown. As
always, Brown is thirsty for praise.

is a much better fit for this team.

Saunders is a true players' coach because he understands the NBA is a players'

Saunders doesn't grate on players like Rick Carlisle did. He doesn't turn every
news conference into a psychotherapy session like Brown did. But he is in the
same class as a coach as those two, and he deserves serious NBA Coach of the
Year consideration. The Pistons are more efficient and potent offensively than
in either of the last two seasons and they have done it without sacrificing any
of their defensive excellence.
老桑不會像R.Carlisle那樣激怒球員，也不會像布朗那樣每次都把記者招待會搞得像
是精神療法研習會，但老桑和他們兩位一樣都是相當出色的教練，且真的有角逐本季年度

They should be favored to win a championship. If they succeed, let's make sure
we dole out an extra helping of accolades for Saunders. Brown deserved the
credit he got two years ago. Saunders would be just as deserving.
他們有濃厚的機會成為本季總冠軍，如果他們成功了，對於老桑在角逐年度最佳教練
時肯定有大大的加分作用。布朗兩年前年度最佳教練拿得實至名歸，而本季如果老桑能順
利獲獎，相信大家也都不意外。
The Pistons paid $6 million to buy out Brown and another $20 million for four
years of Saunders. The guess here is that Saunders, unlike Brown and Carlisle,
will last the length of his contract. And at the end of it, the Pistons will
realize they got one of life's true rarities: a $26-million bargain.
活塞以600萬買斷了布朗的合約，並與老桑簽下4年2000萬的新約。我們推測老桑和布朗
