AUBURN HILLS -- Don't call it a rivalry.
"Rivalry?" asked the Lakers' Kobe Bryant. "If we want to get this back to the old days of Pistons-Lakers, we have some catching up to do."

The Pistons, with their comfortable 102-93 victory Sunday, have won four straight regular-season games over the Lakers, seven straight dating to the 2004 NBA Finals.
"There's no rivalry here," Rasheed Wallace said. "We just play."
The Pistons, who have a league-best 11-game win streak, are 37-5 and flirting with a 70-victory season. The Lakers, 23-20, are flirting with one of the final playoff spots in the West.
活塞隊目前取得連盟最佳的11連勝，以37勝5負的戰績持續挑戰70勝的紀錄；反之，湖人隊則以23勝20負的成績繼續爭取西區季後賽的資格。

The reason for the disparity -- the Pistons are a team, the Lakers are Kobe Bryant.
"Everybody says we don't have no superstars," Richard Hamilton said. "No, we've got five superstars. If we wanted to have a guy averaged 30 points a game, we could do that. But we want bigger things. We want a championship and we know one guy can't guard five."

Bryant, after scoring 25 in the first half, had only 14 in the second.
"They are the best team in the league right now," Bryant said. "There's not much more to say about what makes them tough --versatility, execution and understanding of concepts."

‧  Ben Wallace, who set an aggressive tone getting a double-double in the first half, finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds, two steals and drew three offensive fouls.
‧  Rasheed Wallace contributed 24 points, eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks.
‧  Tayshaun Prince, along with hounding Bryant in the second half, had 19 points, six assists and two steals.
‧  Hamilton had 20 points
‧  Chauncey Billups took a knee in the left thigh from Kwame Brown early in the first quarter and a four-stitch cut to the chin in the fourth, but still managed to contribute 10 points and six assists.
‧  Antonio McDyess had nine points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Prince and Hamilton sparked a 16-4 run in the third quarter that effectively ended the night for the Lakers. The Pistons led, 58-51, and Bryant had just scored four straight points. Prince had nine points in the run, Hamilton added six and the Pistons' defense forced four turnovers. When the dust settled, the Lakers were facing a 21-point deficit entering the final quarter.

Prince and Hamilton在第三節打出一波16比4因而奠定了勝利的基石，活塞以58比51領先，而Bryant只投進了4分；小王子在快攻拿到了9分，Hamilton得到6分，並以團隊嚴密的防守造成對方4次的失誤。這時一切幾已成定局，湖人以21分之差邁入第四節。

Bryant faced five different defenders in the first half, and scored on all of them. He scored his 25 on efficient 8-of-15 shooting.
The Pistons said they could live with Bryant firing 28 shots to get 39 points. They were right.
雖然在第一節的時候，Bryant面對五名不同的防守球員，並突破防守以高達5成的投籃命中率取得25分。然而活塞隊認為，他們可以承擔這樣的結果，事實證明他們是對的。

"As far as how effective Kobe is, that don't matter to me," Rasheed Wallace said. "That doesn't matter as long as we win. This is one that we needed. We're just trying to keep it rolling
“不管kobe可以得多少分，這對我不重要。”Rasheed Wallace說，”唯一重要的是我們贏了，這也是我們最需要的，也是我們要一直持續的，如此而已。”
