HOUSTON -- They came in together, as coach Flip Saunders promised they would.
Late in the first quarter of Sunday's All-Star game, Saunders gave the signal,
and the four Pistons rose and strolled as a group down the sideline toward
halfcourt, pulling off their warm-ups. The jersey beneath said it all.

Wallace, Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace.

teammate scored. Rasheed Wallace chatted up the row of kids seated behind the
East bench, much to their delight. Saunders took time to chuck a basketball
into the crowd during a time-out in the fourth quarter. Billups stood and
clapped each time his team inched ahead.

row of the lower bowl, and this year I'm sitting right there, my feet on that
wood. It was just crazy."

sneakers before the game got under way. It was a nod to teammate Tayshaun
Prince, who didn't make the team. Rasheed Wallace harbored a small case of
jealousy over Prince, who spent his All-Star break in the Bahamas.
