　　One hundred years ago, people could just daydream that
they might one day fly to the moon.  But now, human beings
 can fly not only to the moon but also to other planets.
Before, people who had smallpox could do nothing but die.
But now we hardly hear that anyone dies of the infection of
smallpox.  Thanks to the doctors and scientists, we have a
much better life than before.  However, when we worship the
high technology that makes our life convenient, we should
control the bad effects it brings at the same time－for
example, the noise and the garbage.  All the waste has made
the earth dirty and not good for us to live on.  If we don't
do something as soon as possible, we’ll eat the bitter
fruits soon.

Q:　What is the main idea of the passage?
(Ａ)　We should thank scientists and doctors because they give
      us a better life.　
(Ｂ)　We should take control of what smallpox brings.　
(Ｃ)　We shouldn’t live on the earth anymore.　
(Ｄ)　Having new technology is not always a good thing.
