                                Hand Gestures

Gestures are important parts in body language. Some gestures seem common and
are easily used in the daily life, but in some countries they have different
meanings. When you use fingers to show an okay, it means “you are nothing”
 in some parts of Central and Southern Europe. And it’s also not polite in
South America, like Brazil.Thumbs up usually means “good job.” People in
the west also use this gesture when they hope someone to give them a ride.
However, in parts of the Middle East, the thumbs up gesture is very rude.
Showing a V sign with your fingers means “victory” or “peace.” However,
if you make this gesture with the back of your hand facing outwards, it is
insulting in some countries. Never do it in England, Ireland, Australia or
New Zealand. To avoid some misunderstanding, we’d better do as the Romans do
when we are in Rome.
