8月的"Q"雜誌選了20世紀最重要的音樂人前100名
Radiohead的Tom Yorke排名第16名
文章如下:
The 100 GREATEST STARS of The 20th Century
16.
Thom Yorke-Creep, weirdo and Cleo Laine of alt. rock
He's typecast as a whinger but someone has to articulate
the cinfusion and weariness at the close of thus static-clogges century,
amd for this there's no-one better. Soaring and tender of voice,
passionate and periodically raging in spirit, Torke has written
some of the decade's most potent diatribes, balancing the prosaic,
while his everyman imperfection seductively suggestd that anyone
can do this, that Anyone Can Play Guitar. Yet he declares his stardom
every time he turns down an interview or snubs a photographer, and,
like Bono, he gets better at it with every haircut. He's little and
weird and intense and, possibly, socialpathic.
Recommeded album:
Radiohead, OK COMPUTER (Parlophone, 1997).
The only non-dance album of the '90s that sounds like the future.
