MIAMI -- Rays principal owner Stuart Sternberg "will make an important
announcement regarding the future of the Rays' franchise" on Monday,
according to a team statement.

根據球隊發表的聲明，大老闆Sternberg本週一"將對光芒將來的經營作出重要宣示"。

A Rays spokesman would not elaborate further on what that announcement would
entail, but there is speculation that Sternberg may speak in greater detail
about the team's position regarding a potential new stadium.

球隊發言人不透露此聲明的細節，但一般認為Sternberg將對於球隊的處境、以及可能
的新主場做出更詳盡的說明。

The news conference is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. ET at Tropicana Field during
the Rays' off-day.

記者會將在移動日(美國東岸時間)12:15 p.m.於純品康納球場舉行。

Since plans for a new waterfront stadium fell by the wayside a couple of
years ago, the team had remained rather mum regarding the issue of a new
home. But community leaders have spoken out about the risk of losing the team
without a new ballpark, and St. Petersburg officials have been asking the
team to make its desires public.

數年前興建濱海新球場的計畫被擱置，球團自此對新主場的議題保持沉默。但地方人士
表示沒有新球場可能有失去球隊的風險，而聖彼得堡當局也公開詢問光芒對於新主場的
意願。

According to The St. Petersburg Times, Sternberg asked for a meeting with St.
Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster in the next couple of days.

St. Petersburg Times指出，Sternberg要求近日會見市長Bill Foster。

The Rays have played at Tropicana Field since their expansion year in 1998.
Previously, there had been speculation about the Rays moving to Hillsborough
County.

光芒自1998年成軍以來就以純品康納球場為主場。先前曾有推測，光芒將遷移至
Hillsborough County(Tampa City所在地).
