1. Bartlett For Reimold Talk Heating Up

A possible deal sending Rays shortstop Jason Bartlett to the Orioles for
outfielder/first baseman Nolan Reimold is heating up, tweets Dan Connolly of
the Baltimore Sun.  He has one source who expects the trade to happen today.

The Rays are one of few teams with a shortstop surplus, and Bartlett may earn
over $5MM in his last year before free agency.  Reimold had a strong rookie
season for Baltimore in '09 but had a lost 2010.

J.P. Howell

Friedman did talk specifically about Howell's situation, saying Tampa Bay has
made "a lot of progress" in negotiations with the left-hander.

"I'm still optimistic [about re-signing Howell] and would hope to complete
something over the next couple of days," Friedman said. "His guys are busy on
some stuff and we're busy on some things. But I think it's a priority for
both of us, so my hope is we're able to figure something out shortly."

Bullpen

Internal candidates to find jobs in the bullpen include Andy Sonnanstine,
Mike Ekstrom, Jake McGee and Alex Torres, though Friedman said there is
ongoing dialogue within the organization regarding whether McGee and Torres
should be starters or relievers.

Carlos Pena

A slight possibility remains that the Rays could re-sign Carlos Pena, but the
Blue Jays, Nationals and Cubs have all shown interest in signing the free-agent
first baseman.

Pena 應該是不太可能簽回，錢沒有另外3隻多。
