ST. PETERSBURG -- Despite having to leave Thursday night's game after getting hit on the right shoulder by a line drive, Jeff Niemann appears to be on track to make his next start Tuesday night against the Orioles. Niemann played catch Saturday and said there was a "marked improvement" in the condition of his shoulder since getting hit by the smash off the bat of Miguel Tejada. "It was good," Niemann said. "I was able to move it around, get the blood flowing. It went well. It's still sore, and it's not 100 percent, but it's very good. ... Today was very encouraging. If we keep making progress like this, we should be fine for the next start." Niemann's bullpen session Sunday will determine whether he makes his start. If he can't make the start, Andy Sonnanstine will likely fill that role. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.167.110.227
