  Amid his slowly abating legal troubles, Josh Lueke has been severely
underrated by a lot of people.

  在法律問題漸漸緩和後，Josh Lueke明顯被許多人低估了。

  A relief pitcher is expected to do two things well to be considered great:
miss bats and limit walks (or rather have good control).  You’d be surprised
by the number of Major League relievers who can find work but can’t find the
strike zone.  Velocity and control are helpful on their own, but two heads
are better than one.  So, for the sake of the metaphor, Josh Lueke has two
heads.

  所謂出色的後援投手，應該具備兩項技能，讓打者揮空並降低保送(更確切的說，是不錯

Missing bats:

  Of Lueke’s 275 pitches thrown for AAA Tacoma, 13.1 percent were swung at and
missed. For reference, Felix Hernandez’s swinging strike percentage in 2010
was 10 percent. Lueke registered 94 strikeouts in 65+ innings last season,
which was split fairly evenly between single-A, double-A, and triple-A. And
even when he wasn’t blowing away hitters, he was racking up ground-balls.
Opposing batters were hard-pressed to make solid contact off Lueke – if any
contact at all. That’s the power of a 93-96 mile-an-hour fastball with
movement and a nasty 84-85 mile-an-hour slider.

讓打者揮空：

  Lueke在AAA投的275球裡，打者的揮空率是13.1%；作為參考，'10年Felix Hernandez的

Limiting walks:

  There's always the possibility that Josh Lueke turns into Jesus Colome.
That's not particularly likely, but it could happen. In the words of Jason
Cole,

太容易，但還是有可能發生，從Jason Cole的話來說：

  "His command isn't bad but he's not quite a finished product either. He has
the stuff to pitch in a big league bullpen, without a doubt."

  His statistics indicate that he's been able to control his arsenal at a high
level, as he walked only 15 batters in over 65 innings, but a small sample
size at each stop in the minors prevents us from drawing any meaningful
conclusions.  The scouting reports are favorable, so we'll have to lean on
that for now.

  數據指出，即使在更高層級，Lueke也能夠控制他的武器(超過65局的投球局數，只送出

  All in all, Josh Lueke is a talented young man with the ability to put away
Major League hitters. Whether he harnesses that potential…well, we won’t
know until it happens. But all the signs point to the Mariner having
acquired a future relief ace.  I won’t hide my excitement; Lueke could be
very, very good.

  總而言之，Josh Lueke是位有天分的年輕人，有能力讓大聯盟的打者出局，無論他是否

  Honestly, the only worrisome things about the guy are off the field.  It’s
that elephant in the room, I know.  Some people want to talk about it and
others don’t.  Most people just find it unforgivable and consider it a part
of the whole Josh Lueke package, regardless of how talented he is.
