Devil Rays signed RHP Wade Townsend, the eighth pick in the 2005 draft, to a
minor league contract.
Townsend will get a bonus of about $1.5 million. Since he's had a year off,
he'll head to extended spring training for a little while before being assigned
to a minor league club.
