gorgon一般的意義是指蛇髮女妖三姊妹，不過也有遊戲是設
定為其他的石化怪物。但是在字源上，應該是來自希臘文gorgo，
也就是恐怖的意思
言歸正傳，Demogorgon在一般的故事當中，是一位上古惡魔王的
名字，在Bocaccio's Mythologies、Spencer的Faerie Queen，
Milton的Paradise Lost，或是Shelly的Prometheus Unbound的文
學作品中也都有提到（聖經我就不曉得了）
在D&D世界架構里，Demogorgon是Tanar'ri惡魔族當中，最強大的
惡魔王子之一。外型就如同Throne of Bhall所放的那張桌面圖一
樣，蜥蜴立身，全身蛇鱗，兩臂為粗壯的觸手，雙首貌似邪惡的狒
狒。
底下是我昨晚在網路上找到的設定資料（第三版規則，不確定是否為
官方的定版資料）：
