Red Sox Minor League outfielder Christopher De La Rosa received a 50-game
suspension after testing positive for performance-enhancing substances in
violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, the
Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced Friday.
De La Rosa, 19, hit .219 with one home run and 16 RBIs while playing 42 games
for the Dominican Summer League Red Sox. According to the press release, he
tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.
Mets Minor League pitcher Junior Guerra was also suspended.
