Tony Thompson, lead singer of R&B group Hi-Five, was found dead Friday night outside an apartment building in Waco, Texas. According to Waco's CBS affiliate, KWTX, Thompson's body was discovered by security officers around 8:40 p.m. behind a building at the Trendwood Apartment complex at 1700 Dallas Circle. Though autopsy results are still pending, early reports indicate that the cause of death was possibly a drug overdose. Thompson was 31-years-old. Thompson shot to fame as a member of the R&B group Hi-Five, which signed with Jive Records in 1990. The group was best known for such hits as "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game), "I Can't Wait Another Minute" and "She's Playing Hard to Get." He went on to release a solo album, Sexsational, in 1995.
