Would You Buy Someone's CD If They Are Gay or Unattractive?
1. Do you own a Rahsaan Patterson CD?
2. Why do women still swoon over R. Kelly even if they are convinced that
he is a statutory rapist? Are they somehow turned on by his alleged sexual
hijinks? Or did you sign on as a life long fan after the "Half on a Baby"
video?
3. If Anthony Hamilton were more handsome would he sell millions more CDs?
4. Why do women and men find the sexual ambiguity of Prince stimulating?
5. If Maxwell were to admit he was gay or bisexual, would you not buy his
next CD? Is that why SONY/Columbia shelved him?
6. Was Bobby Brown ever really attractive or did he sell millions based on
his sexual prowess?
7. Are you willing to sacrafice good R&B music for a sexual fantasy?
8. Was D'Angelo's Voodoo really that good or did all that critical praise
really come from him performing naked in his video? If he were gay would
that have affect his sales?
9. Is the responsibility of seeing good R&B music hit the shelves more on the
fans than the music hit making machine?
10. Does sex sell or do you sell out for sex?
11. Should we go back to the era when less that marketable artist didn't put
their faces on posters and album covers for the sake of producing good
quality R&B?
12. Would Tevin Campbell be able to continue Luther Vandross' legacy as a
great balladeer if the public wasn't so judgemental of his sexuality?
