來自芬蘭的Apocalyptica想必很多人都很熟悉
早期主要是以大提琴翻玩Metallica的歌曲為主
四位成員都是來自芬蘭相當著名的西貝流士音樂學院
一開始可能很多人都覺得用大提琴玩金屬怎麼可能?
大家都想看看學古典大提琴的傢伙，玩起重金屬到底可以玩出什麼把戲
第一張專輯Plays Metallica By Four Cellos發行後，可以說是瞬間闖出名堂
如果我沒記錯的話這張專輯也曾名列台灣知名金屬網站前衛金屬誌
的年度十大專輯(第二張好像也有?)
只是近年來，他們也轉型成為不再以純演奏或是翻玩金屬歌曲為主
反而加入大量自身的創作，也邀請了非常多搖滾金屬樂界的巨星來助陣
自然而然激蕩出不少火花也創作許多優秀的作品
