Ningizzia是Forest of Shadows的Niclas Frohagen的sideproject
是他和前述Inborn Suffering的吉他手Stephane Peudupin兩人合組的團
女聲的部份還請來Niclas的妹妹Jenny Frohagen獻聲助陣
他們在1997年就開啟了跨國網路合作模式
直到2003年才發行首張專輯Dolorous Novella
這也是該團目前僅有的一張
這張之後Stephane就去Lethian Dreams彈Bass了

這張的曲風涵蓋了Death Doom/Dark/Folk/Atmospheric Metal
它沒有FoS跟Inborn Suffering那麼直接凝重的哀傷感
但有更厚重逼人的Funeral黑暗氣壓,跟更多的空虛靜寂感
毀滅式爆炸跟末日般荒涼兩種交替的氛圍感營造得很好
是這張最迷人的地方
另外,Niclas的vocal真的沒話說,清腔黑腔都很有味道!!
