[註]歌詞內容應是描述1745年的詹姆斯黨人暴動（Jacobite Rising of 1745）。英國光
榮革命，被推翻的詹姆斯二世流亡海外，其子查理．愛德華．斯圖亞特（即「小王子查理
」，Bonnie Prince Charles）意圖恢復父親的王位，在蘇格蘭募集軍隊，並獲得蘇格蘭
高地氏族的支持，迅速攻陷愛丁堡和擊敗普雷斯頓潘的英國政府軍，然而最後在卡洛登沼
澤戰役大敗，詹姆斯黨從此一蹶不振，蘇格蘭的氏族制也因此沒落。
