一、前言

Destruction is a German thrash metal band.
They are considered one of the
"three kings" of the Teutonic thrash metal scene, the others being Kreator
and Sodom. All three of these bands are often credited with helping pioneer
death metal, by containing several elements of what was to become the genre.
Destruction were originally named Knight of Demon but changed their name in
1984.

Destruction是一個德國鞭團，他們被視為是條頓鞭金界的三大團之一，其他兩團分別是

Kreator和Sodom。人們常認為三個團是死金的先鋒，因為在他們音樂當中的一些元素後來

成就了死金。Destruction一開始的名字是Knight of Demon，但在1984年改名了。



For most of the 1990s, Destruction were not signed to a major record label
and was forced to self-produce their albums, until they signed a contract
with Nuclear Blast in the 2000s.


1990年代，Destruction幾乎沒有跟任何大廠簽約，他們被迫自行製作專輯，

直到2000年左右跟Nucleat Blast簽了一紙合約。

二、經歷

Inspired by Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate, Motörhead and Venom. Destruction was
formed as "Knight of Demon" in 1982. The original line-up featured vocalist
and bassist Marcel 'Schmier' Schirmer, drummer Tommy Sandmann, and guitarist
Mike Sifringer. They soon changed their name to "Destruction" and released a
demo titled Bestial Invasion of Hell in 1984. After this the group signed
with Steamhammer Records and released an EP titled Sentence Of Death later
that year.


受到Iron Maiden、Mercyful Fate, Motorhead以及Venom的啟發，Destruction在1982年

以"Knight of Demon"的名字組成。一開始的編制是Bass兼主唱Marcel 'Schirmer'

Schirmer、鼓手Tommy Sandmann以及吉他手Mike Sifringer。他們很快就把名字改成

"Destruction"，並且在1984年發行了一張叫作"Bestial Invasion of Hell"的Demo，在

這之後，該團與Steamhammer Records簽約，並且在隔年發行了一張叫作Sentence of

Death的EP。

Destruction released their first full-length album titled Infernal Overkill
in 1985, followed by Eternal Devastation in 1986. The trio then added a
second guitarist, Harry Wilkens, and released the EP Mad Butcher in 1987,
followed by the full length album Release from Agony in 1988, then a live
recording Live Without Sense in 1989, and Cracked Brain in 1990. In 1989,
Schmier left the band and Mike Sifringer continued to release albums under
the moniker of "Neo-Destruction".


Destruction在1985年發行了他們的首張專輯Infernal Overkill，接著1986年發行

Eternal Devastation。之後這個三人團增加了第二位吉他手Harry Wilkens，並且在

1987年發行Mad Butcher這張EP，接著在1988年發行專輯Release from Agony，

1989發行現場專輯Live Without Sense以及1990的Cracked Brain。1989年，Schmier離團

，Mike Sifringer繼續以「Neo-Destruction」的暱稱發行專輯。

In 1999, Schmier rejoined, and things began to look up for the band as they
signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast. They then released three more
albums: All Hell Breaks Loose in 2000, The Antichrist in 2001, and Metal
Discharge in 2003. The band would then sign with AFM Records and release
Inventor of Evil in 2005. The band's latest album, Day Of Reckoning, was
released in February 2011.
A European tour with Overkill is scheduled for March 2011. Headlining dates
in South America and North America are being planned for April and May.


1990年，Schmier再度加入樂團，他們越Nuclear Blast簽錄音合約之後，

樂團看來開始倒吃甘蔗。他們接著發行了三張專輯：2000年的All Hell Breaks Loose、

2001年的Antichrist，以及2003年的Metal Discharge。該團後來跟AFM Records簽約，

並且在2005年發行了Inventor of Evil，該團目前最新的專輯是今年2月發行的Day of

Reckoning。他們在2011年3月與Overkill展開一場歐洲巡迴，並且在4月與5月分別在

北美洲與南美洲巡迴。
