Powerwolf於2003年由Matthew Greywolf及Charles Greywolf兄弟創立於德國

目前的成員如下：
Attila Dorn – vocals
Matthew Greywolf – guitar
Charles Greywolf – bass, guitar
Roel van Helden – drums
Falk Maria Schlegel – organ, keyboards

Powerwolf以其在歌詞中大量探討黑暗的意像，和其他Power Metal樂團
截然不同的取向而大受矚目，並在歌詞中大量使用了羅馬尼亞的狼人傳說
與黑暗的宗教故事的元素。

Powerwolf的首張專輯Return in Bloodred發行於2005年，其他專輯和發表
時間如下：

Bible of the Beast (2009)
Blood of the Saints (2011)
