Now what?
Daryl Morey's tweet this week said things needed to change,
but he meant in the way the Rockets were performing,
rather than the roster or rotation.
所以呢?
Morey的推特裡面寫到, 有些事情需要改變.
不過他說的是火箭隊打球的方式, 而非打球的陣容.

The roster change seems at a standstill while he waits for a bite on his
Tracy McGrady yard sale.
The rotation, however, might be ready for some renovations.
換血的動作似乎停頓了, 他還在等待TMac的好買賣.
目前的陣容 或許需要好好的整頓一下.

But when trying to decide if the time had come to make a change to the
rotation
that has not changed at all this season, and I'm getting a good sense
of why it must be a quandary for Rick Adelman.
揪~竟~ 該不該對現有的陣容作出調整, 保持現狀是對是錯,
我慢慢了解到Adelman的困擾.

For every change, there seems questions, potential problems, and reasons to
stand pat.
每一次的改變, 都會出問題, 外在的或內在的.

It would not be wrong to change things,
perhaps to bring Trevor Ariza off the bench,
maybe take some pressure off and help him pick up a shooting percentage
that has dipped below 38 percent. But he does not seem likely to feel more
confident
if he goes to the bench, and right now, confidence seems to be his greatest
issue.
改變不是件壞事.
例如把Ariza放到板凳上, 減輕他一些壓力好讓他三成八的命中率有所提升.
他看起來對自己沒有什麼信心.
不過如果他真的變成板凳球員, 自信恐怕會是一個大問題.

Shane Battier perhaps. A move to the bench would help reduce his minutes,
which could help.
He would take the change well. He could come in for Ariza,
keeping one strong defender on the floor, while making it easier to increase
Chase Budinger's minutes
and reduce Ariza's. But the Rockets biggest problem has been defensively,
especially at the start of the games. Replacing Battier with a rookie
who has struggled defensively does not seem to be a way to improve the
defense.
或許是Battier, 讓他從板凳出發, 減少一些上場時間.
他當然能夠勝任板凳的腳色, 可以成為Ariza的替補,
這樣我們場上隨時都可以保持一個強力的防守者,
如此也能增加Budinger上場的時間, 同時降低Ariza的上場時間.
不過火箭隊目前最大的問題就是防守, 尤其是比賽剛開局的時刻.

Same at center. The Rockets don't need to weaken themselves defensively to
start games,
and their options seem likely to do that if Chuck Hayes does not start.
And if Carl Landry starts, it might be tough to play him as long in the
second half.
He played 38 minutes off the bench on Saturday. Getting him enough playing
time does not seem to be a problem.
中鋒也一樣. 火箭隊不能夠弱化防守. 所以Hayes還是必須先發.
如果讓Landry打先發的話,　我們就不容易在下半場利用他的優勢.
禮拜六的比賽他上場三十八分鐘. 所以看起來既使不先發他還是有充沛的上場時間.

Still, a change is tempting.
The problem is coming up with one that does more than change the problems to
a different problem.
一直以來, 我們都想要有所改變.
不過現在看來, 做出改變只是把問題Ａ換成了問題Ｂ.

"We've been pretty consistent and our second group has been pretty good
coming in," Adelman said.
"You've got to start changing that around, I don't have the right answer.
You look at it and see if there are other ways to be more balanced.
I strongly feel sometimes you just need players to play the way they're
capable of playing.
If you start doing that and that doesn't work, you have to go to answer C and
I don't know what answer C is.

"The first group doesn't score as well and the second doesn't defend as well.
What have we been talking about for two weeks? Getting better defensively."
That is pretty undeniable, of course.
And it would be preferable to get players to play better than to simply play
them at different times.
"先發五人進攻不好, 替補的防守不佳.
 這兩個禮拜以來我們一直在講防守, 必須要在防守做的更好.
 我們考量的是球員們的表現, 而不單單只是調動他們出場的時機."

The start might be to play Budinger more. Ariza went 39 minutes again on
Saturday,
which seems to be relying an awful lot on a guy who's struggling.
Budinger had been very inconsistent, but has room to grow.
或許該是讓Budinger上場久一些, 替換命中率低落的Ariza.

Rather than change the rotation, it might be worth simply tweaking minutes.
Budinger's 27 minutes matched the most he has played this season,
other than in his one start when Ariza was suspended.
Then, as with last season when Aaron Brooks began finishing games in Rafer
Alston's place,
the Rockets can see where a smaller change leads.
Budinger上場27分鐘已經是這個球季的最高, Ariza禁賽的那場他也先發過.
當之前Aaron Brooks慢慢吞食掉Alston的上場時間,
火箭隊有些事情就已經在改變了.

Since Daryl Morey has discussed trade options with the Bulls, he might need
to reconsider his demands.
Joakim Noah is nearly as untouchable as Derrick Rose (if there can be degrees
of untouchableness),
anyway so Morey might have to consider the way the Bulls looked on Saturday
and make another offer.
Morey提過與公牛隊的交易, 不過他還是得重新考慮球隊的需求.

But too many nights like Saturday, and it's going to get tough to wait for
things to finally heat up
near the trade deadline.
