Yao skips practice

Yao Ming did not practice with the team on Tuesday after missing the New
Orleans trip due to flu-like symptoms. He was held out as precaution, to
rest, to take on more fluids and the Rockets are hopeful that he will play
tonight.

姚明今天沒有參加球隊練習，為了以防萬一所以讓他休息。明天不確定會不會上場。


Deke open to any role

After his 24½-minute stint in New Orleans on Monday night more than doubled
his playing time for the entire season, the venerable Dikembe Mutombo was
still upright and ready for more.

老木在對黃蜂的出場時間，幾乎是本季加起來的兩倍，不過他可是準備好打更多的比賽了。

“It will depend on the coach and the way he sees the game,” Mutombo said
after starting in place of Yao Ming on Tuesday and pulling down six rebounds
and blocking three shots. “We are getting to a point where the coach has to
figure out how we are approaching the game day-in and day-out as we get close
to the playoffs. All of us have to get prepared.

老木說："這要看教練的決定了。季後賽快到了，教練面臨了球員適當的調度與休息。
所以我們每個人都得隨時準備好。"上一場老木代替姚明先發，抓了6個籃板，蓋了
3個火鍋。

“I just want to finish my career with great respect and great dignity,
someone who has never gone to the coaches or people upstairs to ask them
about my minutes. I just want to enjoy the last three months I have left on
my job here before I go to nine-to-five.”

老木說："我只是想要用大家的尊敬來結束我的籃球生涯，我不會去問教練或是觀眾們
我打了幾分鐘，我只是想在退休前好好享受比賽。"


Pass the ball, Von

In the locker room following the game, Ron Artest shouted that he would give
Von Wafer a half-million dollars in every game he could duplicate his
five-assist performance.

在對黃蜂比賽結束後，阿泰在休息室對Wafer說，Wafer以後只要有像這場五助攻的
好表現，他就要給Wafer 50萬美金當獎勵!!!

“I wish he was for real,” Wafer said. “I would have five assists every
game. But I’m just trying to get better, trying to be aggressive, be
aggressive to create instead of be aggressive to create for myself. I was
watching a lot of film. I was taking a lot of tough shots. I saw a lot of
guys wide open. ”

Wafer說："我希望阿泰是說真的。我以後每場比賽都會傳出五次助攻。不過我還在努力
讓自己變的更好，試著更有侵略性，幫隊友創造出更多機會，而不是只創造出自己的
機會。我看了很多影片，我做了很多選擇不好的出手，看影片才知道很多人都是有空
檔的。"


Better under pressure

Ron Artest laughed when asked to explain the difference between missing his
first 11 shots in New Orleans and then making 7-for-12 to finish.

記者問阿泰有沒有要解釋前一場比賽上半場跟下半場表現判若兩人的原因。

“Nothing,” he said. “I guess guys had a hand in my face. I wish they would
have put a hand in my face in the first half. They left me wide open. I can’
t shoot when I’m wide open.”

阿泰笑著說："沒有什麼好解釋的。我猜應該是有人對我鬼遮眼了，我還真希望上半場
真的有人對我鬼遮眼。不過根本不是降...他們讓我有大空檔，但是在大空檔我反而投
不進了..."
