‧ Career highlights: Ranks 12th among active left-handed pitchers with 113
                      career victories . . . His 2.37 strikeout-to-walk ratio
                      is 17th best among active pitchers . . . Made postseason
                      appearances with -Seattle (1997), Texas (1999) and St.
                      Louis (2002).

‧ Personal: Originally signed with St. Louis as a 22nd-round draft choice in
             1984 from the University of Mississippi . . . Fassero and his
             wife, Cathy, have three children, Trevor, Blake and Chelsea.

             "My two junior-college coaches (at Lincoln Land Community
              College), Clyde Olin and Claude Kracik. Basically, that is
              where I learned to pitch."
