inflammation.
He's day-to-day. If he can't play on Thursday, either Jamey Carroll or Jason

Left-hander Jaime Cerda cleared waivers and reported to Triple-A Colorado
Springs.
Cerda was cut by the Rockies despite outperfoming Tom Martin this spring.
He'd be better off on a team that can afford to carry a lefty specialist.
The Rockies like their relievers to pitch an inning at least.

Right-hander Mike Esposito cleared waivers and reported to Triple-A Colorado
Springs.
Esposito is probably seventh or eighth on the Rockies' starting-pitching depth
chart, so he should be back in the majors later this season.
