New web site, New Year...
新網站，新一年...
My Dear Friends,
Welcome to my new website!!! First of all, I would like to wish you Happy New
Year, with lots of health, harmony and happiness in 2008. I am really
thrilled that this project is finally over, and from now on I will try to
communicate with all of you once a week informing you about my current
happenings. I will try my best to reflect and inform you about all exciting
things that occur on the court and outside it as well.
歡迎來到我的新網站!!!首先我想說聲新年快樂，在2008年擁有健康、合諧與快
樂。這個計畫終於結束讓我非常激動，從現在開始我將試著和你們一禮拜溝通
一次告訴你我現在在做什麼。我會試著盡量回想並告訴你關於所有發生在場內
外的興奮事務。
I arrived to Perth, Australia on Wednesday, Dec 26th. It was a very good
feeling to land here in Australia after a long trip from Miami. I left on the
25th, but I did not celebrate Christmas in the plane since my religion is
Serbian Orthodox, and our Christmas in on the January 7th. After almost
30hour trip, I dreamed about my hotel just because I needed to relax and
escape from the plane and airport ambiance. Once I entered my room and saw a
Jacuzzi, I could not ask for more.
我在12/26星期三到達澳洲伯斯。從邁阿密的長程旅途後降落澳洲令人愉快。我
25號離開，但是我沒在飛機上慶祝耶誕節因為我的宗教是塞爾維亞正教，我們
的聖誕節是1/7。在30小時的旅途後，我夢見我的旅館因為我需要放鬆並從逃離
飛機和機場的環境。一旦我進入我的房間看到按摩浴缸，我沒法要求更多。
Let's recapitulate what was going on in the last three weeks. I spent two
weeks in Florida preparing for the new season, especially trying to bring my
conditioning and strength to the highest level possible. My body was weak
since I spent few weeks in bed due to the surgery of my sinuses which caused
frequent problems throughout 2007. Now that I am in Perth, I will try to
focus more on my tennis game and prepare for all the tournaments that await
me in Australia, especially in Melbourne. Perth is an excellent place to
start; we really have great conditions for practicing. I am representing
Serbia together with Novak Djokovic playing in Hopman Cup. We are divided
into two groups, and we will play against Chinese Taipei, France and
Argentina.
讓我們摘錄過去三個禮拜發生什麼事。我在佛羅里達花了兩禮拜為新賽季作準備
，特別是盡量提昇我的狀態和強度。我的身體非常虛弱，因為鼻部手術讓我在床
上待了幾個禮拜，那在2007常常引起問題。現在我在伯斯，我將試著多專注在我
的網球技巧並準備所有在澳洲等我的比賽，特別是墨爾本。伯斯是一個很棒的開
始地；我們真的擁有很棒的練習條件。我和Novak Djokovic一起代表塞爾維亞打

Novak and I played our first match versus Chinese Taipei. I played the first
match against Su Wei Hsieh and won 6:4, 6:4. The opening match of the season
is always very difficult. No matter how well you play in practice, the
feeling during the match is unique. I am happy with a victory, but there are
things to improve upon in practice which I know will transpire in the matches
to come. Novak came on court after me, and won in three sets. We chatted
after our matches, and agreed that the first match of the season can be very
challenging. Since we secured a victory for our country, it was easier to
come on court again (this time together), and play mix doubles. Opponents
played really well, and somehow we managed to win 10-8 in tie break set. Our
next opponent is France, and we do not play until Wednesday, so we are done
playing in 2007.

球。賽季第一場比賽總是非常困難。無論練習時打得多好，比賽的感覺是特別的

分。Novak在我之後上場，然後三盤贏得比賽。我們在比賽後聊天，同意賽季的第
一個比賽總是非常有挑戰性。由於我們已經替我們的國家鎖定勝利，再度上場(這
次一起上)就比較簡單，並打混雙。對手打得非常好，然而我們總算在搶十盤以
10-8贏得比賽。我們的下一個對手是法國，直到禮拜三前我們不會比賽，所以所
有在2007年的比賽已經結束。
In the last few days, journalists constantly keep asking me what I will be
doing for the New Year's celebration. The director of the tournament is
organizing a party for all the players, their families and friends of the
tournament, so I will attend with my family and my trainer. I am glad that
both of my parents are here with me, and that we will be able to celebrate
together since I have not done that in a long time. I am going to wear a long
purple dress which I received from a local Australian designer. On Thursday
morning, I had a chance to look at various dresses, try the ones I like, and
pick one. I really appreciate all efforts made by the director of the
tournament since I am not familiar much with the area, and in this way they
ensured good entertainment for all of us.
在過去幾天，記者一直問我為了新年慶祝我會做什麼。這比賽的主辦者舉辦了給
所有比賽球員、他們的家人和朋友的宴會，所以我和我的家人和訓練員一起參加
。我跟高興我父母都在這裡跟我一起，這樣我們可以一起慶祝，我已經很久沒這
麼做了。我將會穿長紫色禮服，我從當地澳洲設計師收到的。在禮拜四早上，我
有個機會看很多禮服，試試我喜歡的，然後挑一件。我真的很感激主辦單位的所
有努力，因為我對這區不熟，以這樣方式他們確保我們都有好的娛樂。
A lot of people envision their New Year's festivities with lots of snow, but
in Australia it's the beginning of the summer with really high temperatures.
As much as I am happy it's warm, I am not pleased with some sunburns on my
body. We play our matches inside in a very big Arena, but I have been
practicing outside trying to adjust to the climate. The first time I had a
chance to play inside was on Thursday night. I played with sponsors of the
tournament, and really enjoyed it. We had a good laugh, I tried to teach them
some tricks, and then we had a good chance to network over a delicious BBQ
dinner. Friday and Saturday I totally dedicated to my practices which really
take up almost the whole day including stretching and massages.
很多人想像他們的新年會有很多雪，但是在澳洲那是夏天剛開始的時候，氣溫很
高。即使我很高興天氣溫暖，我對我身體有些曬傷不太開心。我們在非常大的室
內球場比賽，但我在外面練習以適應氣候。第一次有機會在室內打球是在禮拜四
晚上。我和比賽贊助商一起打球，而且很享受它的樂趣。我們大笑，我試著教他
們一些技巧，接著我們在美味的BBQ晚餐有很好交流的機會。禮拜五和禮拜六我
完全奉獻給我的練習，那幾乎花了一整天，包括伸展和按摩。

It's a very good feeling 2007 is coming to an end. This has been a very long
year for me, I enjoyed many moments of it, but I am anxious to see what 2008
will bring. I made one wish for the year to come, and I am going to work very
hard to make that wish/dream become true. As I say that, I really hope all of
your wishes and dreams will grow to be part of your reality. Once again,
